For all the love the 2D Zeldas was getting, it sure dropped off steep there.  Only three people voted for a 2D Zelda this round?

Makes sense to me.  The best 2D Zeldas already were voted for and the other ones don't have the same reputation or popularity.  It looks like it's now time to focus on the best of the 3D games.  After that we'll start getting more of a mishmash.

I voted for Ocarina of Time this time which I figure will be a shoe-in to win.  I like Majora's Mask a little bit more due to personal taste but the two N64 games are practically equals.

This is going to be tough choosing until only the ones I've never played are left. Those are Minish Cap, Four Swords, and the two DS ones.

I played the Oracles games, and though I don't think they're up to the greatness of other 2D Zelda games, they are still pretty good. I prefer Seasons because messing with the seasons is a bit less cliché than time travel.

I'm going with Ocarina again, but next time I'm going to have trouble deciding between the two NES Zelda games. I like them both and they're so different...

Woah - dropped the ball here.  Actually, worked yesterday, then ended up making a trip to see Iron Man 1/2 back to back.  Neat.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64, GCN, VC)    - 9 (52.9%)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GCN)    - 3 (17.6%)
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA)    - 1 (5.9%)
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (NDS)    - 1 (5.9%)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN/Wii)    - 3 (17.6%)

I know we don't have the same people voting each time, but it's odd how some games seem to jump around in the number of votes they get.

OoT deserved a high finish.  Not my personal fav, but a good game.  Going for Wind Waker again. :)

Still annoyed that the two best Zelda games have not won.

I went with Twilight Princess (although I would be happy with The Wind Waker too).

I went with Wind Waker this time.  The tedious Triforce fetch quest, equally tedious sailing, and typical slow 3D Zelda opening prevent me from wanting to replay it like I would Majora's Mask or Link to the Past, but I did enjoy it more than Twilight Princess overall and a little more than Oracle of Ages.  Plus, you have to love the Cel Shading.

I voted for Minish Cap.  I probably like that game more than anyone else in the world.  I just blasted through that game and I don't mean like it was too short.  I blasted through it because I just couldn't stop playing it until it was done.  I can't really explain the hook.  I think maybe it's because it's the closest thing we have to another A Link to the Past.  It's a 2D Zelda with SNES quality visuals and there are actually only two of those.

Sometimes a game just comes together in a way where you just find it incredibly satisfying.  Minish Cap did that for me.

Minish Cap is awesome.  I had a problem with the game, accidentally turning it off during a save and losing my data.  In doing so I never finished the game or started, because I was several hours in and didn't want to re-invest that time...since there is a lot of collecting and exploring and story in that game.

Gah! Why do I always miss these awesome polls?

At least Awakening and Majora finished high. LttP was a given for finishing high.

those were my three favorites. So now I have to make hard choices.

Looks like we're going to have a quick run-off between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess for the next two spots, as they both finished with 5 votes.

I voted Zelda II. Can I be the tie-breaking vote?
From those two, I would pick Twilight Princess.

Okay, this round is the run-off for 5th place.  Both Twilight Princess and Wind Waker have tied with five votes each, so they will run again for 24 hours.  Get your votes in now!

After 24 hours, a winner will be chosen.  That title will receive the honor of 5th place.  The losing title will be thrown back into the pool and will have to fight again for its spot in the rankings.

This is a winner-take-all match up.  Vote for the one of these two games that you feel is the better game!

i voted Wind Waker because when you killed enemies they dropped their weapons and you got to use them, gay love letters, knocking over peoples ceramics, and getting yelled at for stealing.

Maybe.  There's a lot of dislike toward TP from some of the hard core who see it as filler to satisfy the graphics/mature oriented crowd.

More importantly, TP and WW are, virtually, opposite ends of the Zelda spectrum.  It's interesting to see them stacked against one another.

And, besides, who says it isn't trending toward another tie? :)

What would you do if there was another tie?
Give both titles 5th or would we have another tiebreaker?

A 2:1 victory for Wind Waker.  Surprising, IMHO, although I like Wind Waker more...

Now, it's starting to get hard for me.  My top games have been chosen.  I really like every Zelda game, even Zelda II, but it's starting to get to a point where I'm having a hard time deciding which I like slightly more than another.

I went with Four Swords Adventures.  It was kinda a toss-up between this one and Seasons, but this one won out because of the battle mode - had tons of fun with that.

As for the last poll - I'm surprised that Wind Waker beat Twilight Princess so badly.  They're both top-shelf games, but WW was very controversial.  While TP has its haters, it never had the bad press that WW had.  Just surprised.  I assume TP will probably take 6th, but, while I did enjoy the game, it just doesn't beat FSA for me.

On another note, I forgot to add Link's Crossbow Training!  Oh noes!

I picked Wind Waker in the tie break.
I'm going back to Zelda 2:The Adventure of Link. It is a game that has all of the elements that the current games do.
Magic system. Combat system. Nice Bosses.

The magic was implimented in Link to the Past.Adventure of Link laid the groundwork and Link to the Past made it standard in Zelda games.
The combat was challenging in Adventure of Link. There were a few combat moves that were used later in games. Zelda:OOT had the Lock on system and that propelled combat more from Zelda 2. In Twilight Princess you could learn various combat moves.
Bosses were fun to take on in Zelda 2. After that the bosses got more fun and epic after that.
So Zelda 2 gets my vote for starting all of the things which makes Zelda Zelda.
