Mario Party makes Nick a sad panda :(

I would have very much liked to call in during the marathon, but too much of my weekend was taken up with editing RFN for that to happen unfortunately. I did check in with the proceedings quite frequently while taking breaks from editing though, so I'd like to thank Nick, Chessa and all the other contributors for providing such an enjoyable diversion. Unbelievably, James and Neal were complaining about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on one of those occasions when I popped in the chat--what were the odds eh?

Didn't Lindy fire you?  ;)
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

RE4/5 marathon!
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Whatever game(s) you do next time, I can only hope they don't contain any phallic images.

Also, I'm going to pretend that the reason why Nick changed his forum name to his real name is because I have trouble remembering the staff by their real names.

No more marathons until Nick does a Mario Party marathon.
Forget about them if they can't appreciate the series, we'll just have to hold one ourselves.

I think the next marathon Nick should do is New Super Mario Bros Wii but only if he can get 4 people playing at once. If Nick can't then one of the staff should. It needs to be played with 4 players.

I am onboard with the Pikmin marathon, that would be stellar.

Another good one would be Mega Man 1-3 + 9

I'd like to announce that "Why do they call them Ice Climbers?" has become an official NWR Marathon Meme.

Also Pikmin sounds like a very enticing marathon. I'll throw that in the queue.

Because they're ice-cold killaz?

If I do the MM marathon, it will consist of MM1-6, and probably 9.

Yes, you will all suffer through MM6. I'd do 7 and 8, but they're not really from that era. Eight especially is closer to the MMX series.

MM6 is a game that was rushed out the door, had terrible boss designs, almost every level was a palette swap. Ewww, I understand your hate for it!

Meh, Mega Man 6 may have been the worst out of the NES series but it was still better than 7 and 8.

7 was good.

8 was awful.

The NES games are for the most part untouchable, cuz they serve a very important foundation in Capcom's sequelitis strategy.

MM8 was awful, in a So Bad It's Good awful.

8-bit remaking that title could make it not suck.

MM8 wasn't too bad, apart from the awful anime cutscenes and "Mega Ball" powerup that is only good against one boss. Pretty easy by comparison to the others, though.
