I don't know how people check these things but whatever you do and whoever does I'm sure will see that You is not me.
Are you sure you want to go there?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Time for battle! Let’s look at the rules, shall we?

Now for the rules of changing it again.

First person to bump this thread while the following conditions are true can rename it again!

1. The post must be done more than one month AFTER the LATEST post in the thread.
2. Again, the post must suggest a forumer's name and it can NOT be their own.

The name clearly came after the time deadline.

You did not post You’s Funhouse, he posted Khushrenada’s Kingdom Funhouse. A different name.

With all due respect to everyone confused...

Why wouldn't it be down to the hour and second?  I mean, saying it's down to the day is arbitrary.... why would i make it arbitrary when I can make it exact?

Again, the time is correct.

they are very clear... i don't know what more i can do.

_______'s _______ funhouse

First blank is a forumer's name that isn't the person giving the suggestion.
Second blank is an adjective (that doesn't break any forum rules)

This has to happen more than a month after the most recent post in this thread.

What isn't clear?

Notice how maxi's suggestion didn't follow the rules anyway?

The name is Khushrenada’s Kingdom Funhouse. Again, You posted the name, not Khushrenada.

No, these rules are in place because I like imposing ridiculous ideas on the populous to see how they react. =P It's like a social experiment.

My reasoning for the ______'s ______ funhouse rule isn't just because I like being a prick though.  Because the regulars always refer to this forum as the funhouse, I want to make sure that newbies can at least deduce what is being referred to.

Newbies can still deduce. Named for a regular by an account that has posted in the funhouse before. That was another requirement Pale listed somewhere.

o i c

soooo...

1.) Thread must not be bumped until atleast 1 month (down to the second) or later of the last post in the thread.
2.) A valid suggestion must be made with the initial bump, otherwise see rule #1
3.) If you are to name the Funhouse after a forum member, they must be an active member of the community (preferably someone that actually post in the Funhouse)
4.) You cannot suggest your own name in the name change

is that acceptable as the rules?

Interestingly, BlackNMild2k1 asked if these rules were acceptable. Pale has never answered in the affirmative that they are. Therefore, they can probably be discarded but for arguments sake, let’s look at them. Again, as shown by my earlier answers, all these requirements are met.

BlackNMild2k1 also mentioned that dupe accounts can not make name changes. Never once has Pale or anyone mentioned that rule before.

Finally, I have been accused of owning/creating the You account. That is not true. I thought I had this conversation with Pale but it turns out it was with Bloodworth. Even better. I have the greatest mod on my side. Here it is:

To which Bloodworth responded:

Now I ask you, why would I bring to the attention of a mod a dupe account that I created, asking him who created it? The answer? I wouldn't. In fact, what makes this conversation so interesting is that what precedes and follows it are a discussion on some dupe accounts I did make that were banned. If the court wants to see my evidence on that I am more than willing to provide it.

Further this conversation is from February 2007. 2007! This dupe account was created a long time ago and not by me. As much as I'd like to say I created it back then, tested it against mods to make sure they couldn't trace it back to me and then waited until I could use it to claim a forum name for myself in a game not even created until 2 years later is preposterous.

All criteria is met. I demand a name change.

Bullshit.  You didn't pass the second rule!

Khushrenada and You are the same forumer (albeit using two different user names).

Khushrenada if you look in this topic on page 7 a Dupe by The Perm posted a new name form the funhouse. The name of the funhouse didn't change to what ever the Dupes name was and it stayed BlackNMilds Political Funhouse.

There's many reasons why it didn't change. First of all, a month hadn't even past by yet so it was doomed to fail. Second, the name suggested was the account's own name. Xertimitrex used his own username for the suggestion which can not be done. Here we see that You clearly posted after the correct amount of time had passed and did not use his own account/user name but that of another account/username for his suggestion. VALID!

But the wording doesn't say account or user name--it says forumer.  And as I already stated, Khushrenada and You are the same person.

As I've shown before, You and I are not the same person. If so, that would have been discovered a long time ago. I'm no good at dupe accounts. Any dupes I made in the past were banned.

None of this matters anyway. The post was not within one second of the time of last month's post, so it isn't valid regardless of who the account belongs.

It does not have to be within one second after the old post. Show me a rule where Pale says that. The only rule is that the name change cannot occur until one second after the last post in the thread. The time is valid.

I don't think that's how the rules work, Mop_it_up.

But, the way I see it, You really did something incredible, and by You, I mean I really did something incredible.  I <3 proxy servers.  Maybe this means vudu will lose his mod powers and I'll finally take his place because I have seething envy.

One might point out that "Kingdom" is not an adjective, so the suggestion fails for grammar reasons alone.

I was wondering if someone was going to debate me on this. I was hoping for Pale or Vudu but I'm more than happy to take on Partybear. I've fought him on a few occasions so it will be enjoyable to claim another victory against him here.

In this case, Kingdom is an adjective. Sometimes words that are usually nouns can function as adjectives.

Evidence? The following:

http://www.rhlschool.com/eng8n1.htm

Quote
In grammar, an adjective is a word whose main syntactic role is to modify a noun or pronoun, giving more information about the noun or pronoun's referent.

Link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adjective

In this case, Kingdom helps modify Funhouse giving more information about it.

I know it can be confusing to figure out. For instance, if I said I'm going to learn English, English here is a noun. Yet, if I say I'm going to eat an English muffin, here English is an adjective.

Here's a quick grade 4 English test that you can do to practice learning what is a noun and what is an adjective.

http://www.swsd.k12.pa.us/~marilee_carlson/HP%20Nouns-Adj/Noun-Adj1.htm

Hopefully, it will help you learn to become a better speaker of the English language and understand what you are talking about.

Bottom line:

IF YOU ARE GOING TO FIGHT SOMEONE ON GRAMMAR, YOU BETTER KNOW THE RULES!

So, once again, the name is valid and proven so under yet another test. NAME CHANGE PLEASE!

I might not spell a word right but at least I know where to place them. That is grammar. You are arguing about spelling which has nothing to do with the current argument on the validity of the name change. If you think that a misspelled word invalidates the above argument, you are mistaken since it has no bearing on anything and is merely a distracting tactic to the important issues at hand. If it bugs you so much, I'm more than willing to accommodate you and change it. Then you won't have to get hung up on such a minor detail that is irrelevant.
