Finally! Now I can go redeem them for a song and then go enter in all of the codes. It's gonna be so boring... I wonder if this is really worth it? I can't imagine having to do it hundreds of times...

Tell me about it.
Get a USB keyboard (or steal the one from your PC).  It's worth it.

I just want to say that Pepsi / Harmonix / whoever is really starting to piss me off.  They've been out of Wii codes for over a week now.  Grrr ...
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

The message this time is different than the last time they ran out. Before it said they were out of Wii tickets and to check back later in the week. Now it says this:

"Unable to redeem points for that song token. Please try again later or contact support."

It's been like this for about two weeks now. I wonder if they're not going to restock them this time? The promotion ends soon so maybe they're just going to ride it out...

That's the same error that used to come up before the first restocking.

Maybe they finally caught on that most people weren't actually spending the points on Rock Band Songs like it was intended.

So, I have about 15 caps to enter (Plus whatever I get before the end of the contest, and I'm sure to get some).  I have 14 points left to play.  I have 65 winning tokens that I'm waiting to redeem for Wii tracks.  Pepsi's twitter says: "Yes, more wii tokens will be added before the contest ends."

Come on, Wii Tokens.  Need to max out the Wife's DSi, then buy a bunch of stuff...

So here's my stats, so far:

395 Codes Entered (this doesn't count the 14 I've left to redeem).
I've lost 8 times for bundles. (Once by mistakes, the others, I thought "What the heck?")
I have 63 (not 65) winning entries left to redeem.
I've won DLC a total (including the 63 non-redeemed entries) of 322 times, lost 65 times.

Total redeemed Wii Points: 51,800
Total waiting to be redeemed: 12,600
Total losses: 73
Win:Loss Ratio: 322:73 - 81.5%.

Assuming a price of 50 cents/cap (which is waaaaay high considering how many I was given for free from coworkers and a few lots from eBay for 30 cents or less), I've spent $197.50 on caps.  For a total of $518 (or $644) worth of Wii points.  Or about 62%(/70%) off.

If we drop down to 30 cents/cap, I spent $118.50 - or 77%(/81%) off.

If I had won every single entry, I would have gotten $790 worth of Wii Points.  At 50/30 cents per cap, that would have been 75%/85% off.

Add in the Club Nintendo points I've gotten (yay!) and all the Pepsi I've drank (errr... yay?) and I think I've gotten a good deal.

Someone on GameFAQs claimed to have emailed them and got this response:

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Pepsi.

I understand you have been unable to redeem your points for Wii downloadable tracks.

We are currently getting more tokens for the Wii. Please check back on or after Wednesday, September 9 to get your song. Winners will have until September 30, 2009 to select their game console/system and track, and track must be redeemed in winner's game console/system by December 31, 2009.

We apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused you.

Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Pepsi.

I wouldn't hold your breath.  I sent an e-mail last Thursday and received the exact same e-mail from Mike, only it said Friday, September 4.

It's illegal to promise prizes and then not deliver, right? So would it be legal for them to not ever offer more Wii tickets?

The prizes are for DLC.  I don't think the official rules or such mention anything about any particular system...

Yeah, I'm worried that they are trying to ride it out. Oh well, if worse comes to worst, I'll just get a bunch of download codes for the XBox 360 and sell them on eBay, I'm sure somebody would buy them.

No tickets yet...

Kinda makes me wish i didn't play these points for songs and instead used it to try and win a 360. At least that why i'd feel like they weren't AS wasted.
