Super Mario Kart Mafia: Day One. Luigi Circut.
« on: June 21, 2009, 06:16:52 PM »
Welcome!

And with 14 players on the starting line, this is going to be an epic.. and messy battle.

Closing time for day one is midnight EST tomorrow. This will be called by Khush.

Players List:
Stevey
Nickmitch
Stratos
Mop It Up
Maxi
Thatguy
Theperm
Dasmos
Daaaman64
Rabicle
DrewMG
Khush
Vudu
GP

RULES:
For the Red Team to win, they must defeat all the members of the Blue Team and AT LEAST HALF OF the Green Team.
For the Blue Team to win, they must defeat all the members of the Red Team and AT LEAST HALF OF the Green Team.
For the Green Team to win, they must defeat all the members of the Red Team OR the Blue Team.

All players have now received PM's. Second PM's have been sent to necessary people.
All players have three points.

FAQ:
Can I ask you how many players are on the other teams, or is that not something I'm supposed to know?
You will not know how many players are on the other teams. Feel free to determine this on your own.

How long do I have to decide who to use my item? Will I lose it if I don't use it today?
You have until the end of the day to use the item. Midnight EST. For Day One you have until Midnight EST tomorrow. If you do not use your item you will retain it until it is used.

Are item usage time-sensitive?
Yes. They are processed in order in which I receive. Green Team will jump the queue.

What happens in the event of a tie?
The person with the lowest amount of points would die.

Lets say someone has the identifier. And asks you who has the Pow Block. Does that mean that that person will find out and join the team of who has the Pow Block?
Yes.

LET THE BATTLE COMMENCE!

I made a boobie and accidentally forgot to add GP.

I will be making a few adjustments, new PM's going out to some people shortly. If you do not receive a second PM, everything stands as normal.

I'm opening it up on sunday, but rolls right through to tomorrow night. I wanted to have all night to iron out the kinks.

Do I understand correctly that the Green Team needs to be eliminated first in order for the Red or Blue team to win?  If so we need to somehow band together to find out who's on the Green Team and vote them out.  Anyone have any ideas the best way to determine this?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Oh! So we have all of tomorrow to let day one play out? Then I will hold off voting until tomorrow then. I don't have enough time today to deduce a good first guess before work since I have to be ready to leave in the next half hour.

Half of the green team need to be eliminated for either red/blue to win. The exact number of that team is unknown (except to them).

I'm going to guess the break down is 6-6-2.
5-5-4 seems a bit much but who knows, it's possible.

That explains only the last game. The first two were just mean.

But it's okay, it's probably for the better to have you take me out over any of these other yokels. At least now I have only one person to attempt revenge on instead of several.

Half of the green team need to be eliminated for either red/blue to win. The exact number of that team is unknown (except to them).

I think there are conflicting win conditions, but perhaps I'm just not understanding them.  Here are the win conditions that you posted:

For the Red Team to win, they must defeat all the members of the Blue Team and AT LEAST HALF OF the Green Team.
For the Blue Team to win, they must defeat all the members of the Red Team and AT LEAST HALF OF the Green Team.
For the Green Team to win, they must defeat all the members of the Red Team OR the Blue Team.

The rules state that for the Green team to win either the Red or Blue team need to be defeated.  For the Red or Blue team to win they need to defeat all of the opposing team and half of the Green team.  But if half of the Green team is still around, won't the Green team win instead of the Red or Blue team?  Doesn't that mean that for the Red team to win they need to defeat all of the Blue team and all of the Green team (and vice versa for the Blue team to win)?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Oh yeah.  Something different from me.  I should probably read the rules.  And beg for someone to make me an Ice-Climber Kart avatar.

YUP!

Edit:  I already need help.  Weird.  The sign-up topic mentions a Pow Block and a Star in the descriptions of the items.  Are they items too?

My guess is that the Pow Block would hit all players not on your team, and take a point/block item usage, and that a Star makes you invincible from attacks and hits anyone who votes for you the same day.  Can anyone confirm/clarify that?

Double Edit:  Oh, there's an alliance?  I'm gonna change my vote to just spite all of them:

You know, it is funny, I had actually voted for Stratos just to tease him, I didn't expect it would start a bandwagon! I was just having a little fun until I could get more info and make a "serious" vote tomorrow. And now look at what I've gotten myself into!  :-\
