The Vitality Sensor still has me scratching my head as to what it can do. No games were announced for it which is very weird for Nintendo.

I missed the entire press conference.  Had to take one of the poop machines to the vet - he ate some nasal spray.  Idiot.

NSMB Wii... I like.  Want more Mario vs. Luigi for DS though...

Anyone know why the chat went down?

Glad to hear it wasn't just me.

I'm surprised we didn't see anything about Sin and Punishment 2.

Remember guys that Miyamoto still has his roundtable discussion where he might talk about games not shown at the conference.

I'm not expecting megatons, but considering Miyamoto was absent at the conference we could hear more from him there.

Ask him about Pikmin 3 and Zelda please when you go. When does that happen ??

I guess it might be like Brawl and not have a video until later

Is no one else discouraged by the fact that breast physics inc. is making a metroid game?  Is it only me?

No, notice that Samus is the only Nintendo female that isn't a Princess. As far as Nintendo is concerned, Samus is the whore of the Nintendo world and the zero suit, SSBB, and Other M just prove it.

Really?  The game appeals to maybe 100,000 people, tops.  It'll be on the floor tomorrow, but I wouldn't expect to see it in the press conference.

It figures.  I had a meeting this morning at work.  Was following along on forums and such and heard about New Super Mario Bros Wii.  Managed to find a video of the conference in time to JUST miss it.  And the meeting started around 9:30.  So all I got to see was the stupid non-game stuff.  Fucking hell.

I'm in utter shock that the Mario title was actually a real game and not just some bullshit sports game.  And there are two Mario games!  And one sounds like a four swords kind of thing which is great because I loved Four Swords!

But what the **** are Retro doing?  Seriously what the **** are they working on?  Is Metroid Prime Trilogy seriously it?  I'm very disappointed in that.

Motion Plus doesn't seem to be anything beyond Wii Sports Resort thus far.  I thought it would be the new Nintendo standard and virtually ALL of their new games would use it.

I'm VERY skeptical of Team Ninja working on a Metroid game.  Haven't seen the footage yet but the description sounds about as Metroid and Metroid Prime Hunters was (ie: Metroid skin over unrelated game).  I would rather get something original from Team Ninja and not have Metroid be shoehorned into something else.  Plus this is the same stupid misunderstanding regarding third party support Nintendo had on the Cube.  Hey let's get a third party to make... the same sequels we would make ourselves.  What's the point of having a third party involved if they just make Nintendo games?  Part of the point of third party support is that they provide something DIFFERENT than what Nintendo normally does.  There is no variety if they just use Nintendo franchise characters.

There's some good stuff here but it's the same old sequels and franchises.  I'm glad that unlike last year I've got something to actually look forward to but they certainly didn't blow me away.  There's something missing.  With the Wii it just feels like something is missing.  Where is the Wii's Pikmin?  Where is the Wii's new IP and brand new gameplay experience that isn't non-gamer focused?  Where is the core game that couldn't be done on the Gamecube?  It doesn't exist and after all these years I'm pretty sure it never will.

I thought Billy did a really good job pre and post game on G4.  He definitely brings some depth Blair and whats his face are severely lacking.  However, I was hoping he'd ask Reggie about that Wii Sensor that you stick your ___ in.

Guys, there were a lot of games revealed at the press site that weren't mentioned in the conference, including many of the new IPs shown at last year's conference.

Also, remember that we have Miyamoto's roundtable tonight and the rumored after E3 conference Nintendo will do in Japan.

It would explain why the conference held back many games and announcements.

No, they are not. Rare killed themselves with bad gameplay ideas made after DK64.

But for Retro, that's a wait-see.

Yep They put the project of porting three game in the hands of their whole studio which is around 60 people. Seriously Ian, do you know what you sound like sometimes?
