Or maybe they were waiting for another Evil Dead movie so they can copy the dialog.

Only if Sam Raimi doesn't screw it up like he did with the Spider-Man films.

I still believe Spiderman 3 wasn't his fault. The suits stepped in and demanded additions and subtractions on core elements of his movie.
Venom was shoe horned in and certain things were cut out due for time, I don't blame him for the failure that was Venom and Spiderman 3

I saw some of the leaked footage.  It looks like cheezy good fun.  The entire project should be converted to Wii, scrapping the PC version.  That way they'll save money and finish it by this Holiday season.

I want to know where 3DR got that $20m of their own to fund the perpetual development of DNF.

Its a shame. Looking from the footage, they were pretty far along. The throwback to the chaingun was awesome (though at this time, it might as well be new since its been so long...). While I don't expect the super-uber revolutionary FPS to end all FPS'es, it looked competent.

10+ years of development is beyond ridiculous. I (and most people I suspect) stopped caring about the game many years ago and would only care if they ever actually finished it. 3D Realms have to be the most incompetent developers in the history of video games.

Unfortunately I think most of the people who made Duke Nukem 3D left long ago. Maybe I should change my wording and say the current version of the studio is incompetent. Maybe they aren't incompetent, maybe they just like free money for doing nothing (like the people that duped investors into spending money on Vaporware like the Phantom).

3D Realms is the new Rare, except MS wasn't dumb enough to buy them too.
