I also picked this game up for similar reasons to Kraken.

I'll let you guys know if it actually grabs me and I stick with it.

Let us know if you want/need anything and we can set up a welcome care package for you. I have a spare dresser which is essential. Maxi came over and I had junk scattered all around my house because I did not have one yet. Thank goodness he gave me one.

Plus every Sunday Mop it up has a big give away event where we go over and take all of the junk she's accumulated. You can find some real treasures there. It is quite comical. Plus anything no one wants can be sold at the store for cash.

Here is my FC:3352-1983-2288 I am Swanzy in the town of KRAKEN. I like it, first experience with Animal Crossing.

So I got 20,000 bells should I pay off my morgage first?

I would pay it off... It expands your house... bigger house, more room for creativity... its not like you cant get more bells

How'd you get 20k bells right off the bat? Is Mop it up making you indebted to her?

Its actually very easy to get that much in the span of time Kraken has had the game. I am guessing he got a net or fishing rod. This morning there was lots of Cicadas in my town.

I haven't seen any cicadas either. Where do they appear?

It sounds like you'll be getting the first store expansion soon, Kraken613. Don't forget the store will be closed for a day to remodel.

Mop_it_up they typically appear on trees. They are very easy to scare off. Gotta sneak up slowly.

Kraken I added you.

You should turn some of those creatures over to the museum.

And I just want to state, Brewster if my hero and favorite character in the game. He reminds me of the coffee shop I used to frequent in Portland and it makes me miss them back there something fierce. They gave me free stuff all the time like extra shots, mistake beverages, unclaimed beverages, donuts if I was there around closing and there were some left. There were two I really frequented and both had amazing coffee.

I wish I could go back... :(

Yeah I don't have that fish either.

After you have seven cups of coffee from Brewster then he'll store your Gyroids for you. It's a good way to get those creepy things out of the house without selling them.

I guess living in Florida, it rains more.  Maybe you all should change your Wiis to rainy places.

I just read an AC FAQ that gave a new fishing tactic.

"Fish Scaring"

You run walk along a body of water and every little shadow you scare away. The writer claimed to get a good deal of large fish in only a short amount of time.
