If you need money I can give you some so you can pay off your house faster.

Thanks for the generous offer pap, consider yourself added to my friends list :)

What'll it take to have you add me to yours? Maxi gave me you code so you're on my list..

Hey guys, I'm new to NWR and just started playing Animal Crossing. I'm hoping to play with some experienced players to see what I should be shooting for in my town. I've added my information on the friend code thread, so make sure you guys add me :).

P.S. Is the stuff in the lost and found near the town gate fair game? I always feel guilty taking stuff that isn't mine... What do you guys do?

Thats a good question!

Today, I decided to overhaul my town and rethink my planting strategy.

After watching Josh Thomas' village video I noticed these things:
- Themes
- Consistency
- Planned planting

Josh has many areas which are themed, including a forest area, a flowery entrance and even an island he deemed "Punch-Out Island". These definitely took time and planning to pull out, but the final results are stunning and shows off his dedication to his village.

I've decided to try and emulate this, starting first with the flowers. First, I decided to plant yellow roses at my gate. Ideally, I want these to be golden. But since golden roses take forever to make yellow roses work best at the moment.

Second, instead of planting random flowers at my villagers' houses I will plant the same flowers so the theme and color match. For the female villagers I will be planting red and white roses. For the guys, I will be planting red and yellow pansies. Yellow pansies work the best because they match the color of the "caution" patterns I have placed outside of their homes.

Third, I planted flowers around the random ponds that appear in my village. Like the houses, I decided to plant the same flowers. For example, the pond outside of my gates is covered in white cosmos. The ponds outside the museum are decorated with yellow cosmos. I may try to alternate between two colors in order to create striking flower patterns.

Fourth, for those dead patches of dirt around town I decided to create theme flower beds. I got this from a Mario Galaxy poster I have in my room. What I do is plant four flowers in a square pattern, then surround them in a circle of flowers of the same color. Again, its quite simple but striking and adds color and life to your dead parts of town.

Finally, I decided to experiment with tree planting. I noticed in Josh's video that his trees are neatly lined and in themes. I planted a lot of apple trees in the town hall area in a line and see if these grow.  If they grow I'll have to replant my trees as well as place more pine trees. If they don't grow I'll have to see how to properly plant trees.

I may also steal Josh's backyard idea, but since my house is right in front of two houses I will use this on one of my alternate houses, and create a rose garden right behind it.

This will be a lot of work, but should make for a beautiful village.

I had company drop in unexpectedly so I won't be able to open my gate, maybe in a few hours.

Here's the description for Festivale from the City Folk Calendar app: Win candy from townsfolk by playing games with them. Give your winnings to Pavé, the dancing peacock emcee of the event, to win rare treats.

Hmmm... I hope the items are cool. I'm afraid of the idea of a peacock emcee though- yikes!

OMG YOU CAN GET A METROID IN  CITY FOLK!!!!!!!!! SAME WITH THE BLUE FALCON!

The catch? You have to hit Gulliver when he's flying around :( .

If anyone is lucky enough to get either of these let me know and I promise I will pay BIG money for them.

Yeah, that Peacock can go. When I mean go, I mean after gets his fix of 'candy.' And when I mean 'candy' that's gotta be code word for illicit substances. Think about it...

A)He needs some 'green' to calm down...
B)Needs some 'blue' to 'speed' things up...
C)'Yellow' for some 'zest'...
D)Wants some 'red' for 'explosive' flavor...
E)No matter how much you give him, he wants some more...

The fact that the animals have 'candy' in such steady supply is equally disturbing...

I stopped buying turnips because it more like gambling that actual business (hence why the stock market bothers me so much :p).

Anyways...SPRING HAS COME TO ANIMAL CROSSING!

When I woke up this morning I saw all the beautiful green and the big blue sky, and got all warm and happy inside. Its too bad the grass doesn't fully grow when spring arrives :( . But the trees are beautiful.

Speaking of which, I'm still working on replanting all my trees. I need to make a bushy, pine tree area near the museum. Can anyone send pine tree saplings my way? My Nooks only carries one pine tree per day and it will take a while.

I will really appreciate it.
