Infinite Line (working title), a role playing game exclusively for the Nintendo DSâ„¢ portable handheld system, takes place in outer space and gives players the ability to control, build, outfit and customize more than 150 spaceships. Infinite Line stretches the DS hardware to the limit, offering over 200 characters and the ability to control multiple spaceships at any one time. Releasing in 2009 and currently being produced by Atsushi Inaba and directed by Hifumi Kouno (from developer Nude Maker), Infinite Line is one of the most complex RPG titles developed for the DS to date.

I don't know about the rest of you, but to me this sounds like just about the greatest thing ever. When I demanded Escape Velocity on the DS I didn't expect to see anything like it. When Galactrix was announced, a sequel to Puzzle Quest, a game I love, with similarities to EV I thought it was great, and close enough to what I wanted. Now I get this, which apart from the fact that it doesn't sound like it will be as open-ended as EV and that I doubt there will be much in the way of cargo runs, sounds like it may in some ways be better than EV. I guess the lesson is to always be satisfied with what you have, and they'll keep giving you more. I'm going to go stock up on a few things and camp out in front of GameStop until some time next year so I can be first in line to get this.

How can it be official if you can't even spell "Infinite" correctly!? :@

All joking aside, the game sounds really cool and really ambitious...However, it might be TOO hardcore for me...I'll be watching out for this one...

What error, I don't see an error? :) I've been having vision problems lately, and that error is a good reminder that I should go to bed so I can be up in time for my eye doctor appointment tomorrow.

Some more info from IGN (http://ds.ign.com/articles/874/874663p1.html?):

• The interface may look complicated, but according to the developer it is actually "simple and intuitive".
• Infinite Line is just a working title, but it references the almost infinite amount of ship configurations you can make.
• The developers say that this game "cannot be constrained by the term 'RPG'"

Meh, no gameplay shots. I want to know if it's FF with spaceships or a proper Elite-like. And if it's the latter I'd be worried if it'd be done well, the Japanese have a tendency not to learn from western games.
