Indeed, one of Tim Schafer's many classics. Grim Fandango is also amazing, I highly recommend it. Just go on Wikipedia and find anything that guy was a part of and there is a 100% guarantee that it is awesome.

Yeah, I forgot about Grim Fandango too - very awesome.  This is also one of the most critically acclaimed point-and-click adventure games ever made, for good reason.  I actually did search Tim Schafer on wikipedia - now I'm even more interested in Psychonauts now that I know he was a part in it!  Thanks Nick

Haha yes! Everybody needs to show Psychonauts some love, an amazing, unforgettable game. I'm super excited for Tim's upcoming title, Brutal Legend, sounds like it is going to fit right in with the rest of his work.

I'd say Psychonauts had some issues as a platformer, jumps that simply required you to repeat them over and over until you finally landed it, but it was still a good game.

Man, I wish I was on this episode.  I reviewed Z&W so I have a lot of things I wish I could have added to that convo.

Also, I'm playing Escape from Monkey Island on PS2 right because I got it cheap, so that would have been fun to talk about.

AND, I love classic SCUMM stuff and wish I could have talked about Loom!

I don't remember having many issues with that, but then again I have played the game through at least 6 times at this point. For me, the world that was created in the game was so unique and compelling, I constantly wanted to be a part of it. The voice acting was top notch and the story was funny and interesting. It pretty much excelled in every regard I want a game to excel in.

I haven't played this yet, but Double Fine is working on something Psychonauts related. And I basically bought an original xbox for Psychonauts a few months ago.  But I want to find out what Double Fine is working on first, it would be a wiimake.
