European Price Points Announced for Wii Fit

Exercise software and Wii Balance Board to be available for £69.99 in the UK, €89.99 throughout the rest of Europe.
 http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=15421

 Nintendo has announced estimated retail prices for its forthcoming body awareness and exercise tool, Wii Fit, in European markets. Including the advanced Wii Balance Board peripheral for measuring weight and detecting physical action, the Wii Fit package will retail for £69.99 in the UK, while elsewhere in Europe the price will be €89.99.

Wii Fit launched in Japan last year for ¥8.800, approximately equivalent to £42, €55, or 83 US dollars. Nintendo of America has yet to set a price for Wii Fit, only commenting that it will be set lower than $100. With the European price points working out at around $140, this may be an indication that Wii Fit will hit US stores at closer to $100 than $80.

Me too. I waited to get GH3 till I found it for $69.99 a few weeks ago. I'm willing to wait again with Wii Fit, if I have to.

Guaranteed no sale for me. I'm not paying £70 for this. I'll wait until the price drops.

same for me, this really needs to come out as low as possible to help start the sales for this here in North America, otherwise I don't think it will do near as well as in Japan.

Doesn't faze me one bit, still buying it and I know several others that still will too.  You're getting a peripheral that will probably be used beyond it's pack-in title.  I can actually see the lighter DDR crowd jumping headfirst into this, and there are plenty of them out there.

That's way too expensive. I don't think I'll buy this at launch AT ALL.

The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Deduct ten, replace Euro with Dollar. That's the US price. So it'll be 80$.

Sounds about right. When it goes in the other direction $ to £€ it's always $1:1.

Considering some games that are released at $20 in the US can sell for up to $80 US in Europe, I'm guessing Wii Fit will be about eighty cents in America.
