Yeah, once they reach DS, they can't ever go back.

fine by me really, I mean future Pokemon games will go from DS to whatever and GBA games will go away like the GB/C ones have.

Okay, so I read at GoNintendo something about the pokemon games being out already here in Canada, I was a little suspicious, but then I checked futureshop.ca and they freakin' have it as available at my local futureshop. Tomorrow, before I go to work, I am so getting Diamond, and to boot they also have the mic-headset available too.

that's why you need to have 1 stay in your party because you have to have at least one in your party at all times (and eggs don't count as a pokemon in your party because you can't have all slots filled with eggs >=/ because I've been doing some major breeding to get my emerald pokedex filled in early.)

I'm excited.  Some friendly person from Japan traded me a Turtwig for a Magikarp that I named "HelpMeTest".

I hope it's not a hacked turtwig!

Does anyone want Glaceon and Leafeon. I have twenty or so pair because I breed a few Eevees for an event at a con but only a few people showed because it was announced so late, because it took me a while to discover the method. So I have a few of them to get off my hands.

Just a note, that while most places say that Drifloon will appear out in the open after getting two badges at the Valley Windworks only on Fridays.  Well today is Thursday and I got one there today, so either the info is wrong, or my game thinks it is friday.

[EDIT]  apparently my DS did think last night was friday.  I don't know how that happened, but it did.  Maybe my DS runs faster than normal ones.

My younger brother just opened my eyes to the truth:

"Pokemon is the ULTIMATE in emergent gameplay!"

Oh my god... so true... this is why they can sell the same game to us time and time again! WE make the game new! NOT THEM!

Hey guys, long time no talk. I will post up my friend code later today when I find where I put my DS.  I've been super busy and havn't been able to join in any of the meet ups and im only now just at the elite 4.

It may take me a little while to get everything together for my pokemon, but if its a good battle or trades you guys want I can give em to you. And im talking with no legendary uber pokemon, or almost any over used for that matter. I don't care what anyone else uses, mewtwo's, darkrai's, its all good.

I love Primeape by the way, did I mention that? No matter how I rearange the team I use, it's always there.

This is not a thread to put up your Friend Codes, this is a thread to talk about and discuss all things Pokemon Diamond & Pearl.  Use the Friend Codes Section for that.

Being on topic can anybody tell me all the things I can do to get my Pokemon to evolve via "Love" faster, as it does not evolve by level nor stone.

Run around a whole lot with it.  Apparently using it in a Gym Leader battle helps, but the main thing is running around.  If you do any breeding, put the one you want to like you in your party.  They are supposed to gain a point every 256 steps, so I just put the ones I want with high happiness in my party when I'm hatching an egg, and after a while, they like me.

Also, use the Soothe Bell to double all the happiness raising.

Give your pokemon a massage, give them the vitamins like carbos, only the ones you want to give them though. And dnt let it faint in battle, keep it on the first of your list.

When they first introduced the Liking thing I got the evolution of Zubat.

I haven't picked up the game yet but I don't know whether to get Diamond or Pearl.  Farfetch'd is on the top of my list plus a steel type that was in a shell sort of like a ball with a worm coming out... its been a while.

I'm not quite sure wtf that is that your talking about, then again im a bit out of the loop too.  I missed the whole R/S versions and didn't feel like finishing the G/S versions.

Oh and thanks for the pointers guys.

So, I think I may have stumbled on a pokemon duping method.  Anyone want to test it out with me?  I'd need someone that has a bit of time, pokemon they're not afraid to lose, control over their wireless internet, voice-chat enabling, and are preferably regular NWR posters, and not people who are only here for this game, and this game alone.  If you qualify, send me a private message, and we'll work things out.

Edit: The tries were  unsuccessful, though I have done it once before.  Oh well, no loss, just no gain.

I was a s darn it now I lost it again.  I get Diamond because I like the creature on the front better.  Plus a bonus DS holder.  Its not very useful because I have a better one and it has no slots for games.
