I would prefer a 3rd person adventure to a fps/a.

Even without those titles, though, it was incredibly difficult to come up with a roster of just 10 Wii games that I'm excited about through the end of the year. I probably could have easily whipped up 20 or maybe even 30 projects - all of which will hit in the next 12 months.

What intrigues me most about this quote is not only does he say 2 or 3 secret projects, but the fact that he wouldv'e added them to his top ten list. That's saying something when you look at his list.

Equally as intriguing is the notion that another 10 or 20 projects for '07 could have been on the list as well.
This is going to be one hell of a year.

Wii FTW!

(although I still can't buy one for myself, I'm still playing my brothers with component cables now! MMMM Link so shiny!)

Edit: I forgot the point of posting here; hopefully on of those projects he speaks of is the mystery sequel, and it's shaping up very well.

I would love a Kid Icarus game where the entire you're in flight, the whole game makes use of your wings and fly manipulating the Wii-mote (Zelda spoiler: ) like the giant-bird in Zelda. The first 8 or so times I did the flying with the bird I hated it, and wished I was playing I was playing the GC version which surely used the analog stick, but after mastering the technique, I found it to be so enjoyable, I'm still going back to beat my high score every now and again.

Well, GoNintendo & NPhiles seem to think that the mystery sequel will be another entry in the Punch Out series.

“Punch-Out!!” has once again been trademarked through the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Nintendo filed the trademark on April 1, 2005 for service under “electronic game discs.” The status of the name is active as recent as January 11, 2007.

The game has not officially been confirmed. However, recent reports from IGN hinted at possible Nintendo franchises being reborn on Wii. If in fact a Punch-Out!! title is coming, the game could theoretically have been in development since its 2005 filing date.

If it does end up being Punch Out, I hope they iron out all the little issues people had with Wii Sports Boxing and make the game a little easier to control, or atleast give a better tutorial on how to get the game to react to your movements in a way that you can replicate on purpose.

I mean side hooks are almost impossible for me to throw on command(or at all sometimes) and uppercuts take too much effort and too many chances to actually throw. Even High & Low punch is frustrating enough at times.

Punch Out would be cool, but they definitely need a revamping of the boxing system from WiiBoxing.

IMO the only thing they got 100% in WiiSports was bowling. The swing mechanics in baseball work well, but there's too much more to baseball to say it's 100%. Tennis is pretty close, but opposite direction smashes don't always connect properly. Boxing BlacknMild alrdy mentioned, and golf is kind of tricky, but also good.

Agreed, BNM.

I just hope they bring back Little Mac and not his arcade Stallone-like equivalent...

Oh, and while I'm on the subject, LM for SSBB!

"Little Mac" looked weird in Fight Night Round 2.  Well, that game included Super Punch-Out!!, and the model of the FNR2 Little Mac was based off of the main character in that game, who I don't think has a name.  Anyway, this "Little Mac" looked like some babyfaced tough guy, and I hate the look of babyfaced tough guys.  It's just ...eeew.

I like how Little Mac is smaller then everyone else and you sort of look above and not through him to box.

www.N-sider.com is reporting that Star Fox may get the Wii treatment.

It's been too long since Star Fox 64, though Command was pretty nice, I want this game developed in house! And I want it only with the Wii remote, I know it can be done! I can just imagine it now...

After beating a high-profile adventure game that had two versions on two different consoles, I pray that this is some kind of "downloadable continuation" of said previous game. I need better closure than that. Either that or WiiSports II.

QFGT.

While I enjoy boxing (especially as an excersize routine), I find it extremely frustrating how the game controls.

I agree that even throwing low and high punches is annoying as hell. This is even more apparent during the harder matches where the opponent blocks heavily and the only way you can hit him or her is to hit low. Uppercuts are also very hard to pull. This is even more evident in the high and low punches training stage. No matter how hard I try to aim my punches they still miss.

Fun game, but definitely needs polishing.
