Well, we all know that online gaming is crap, but that's only us die-hard fanboys. Yes, PS2 can survive because it has tons of mindless sheep flocking to buy more and more of it, and the Xbox will still survive (damn!) because of Bill's bottomless bank account.

Did you know? Bill Gates's underground garage can hold over 100 cars? Obscene....

Seems like you're the one without a life if you can't meet up with your friends.

Also, how do you know how busy I am? I never mentioned how old I am, and what my employment status is, or where I work in my post.

Theres a blue print of the guys house online somewhere. I saw it on another message board. As I recall like half of it is underground. It was crazy.

The only titles I can think of that should go online for the Cube would be Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Perfect Dark (I know it will never happen but can't I dream?!), Super Smash Brothers and Mario Party.  That's all I can think of for now.

In many cases, a server is not necessary.  Peer to peer, where one system serves as the host, would work just fine.  Sometimes a "matchup" server is used to keep track of all the hosts available so that you can find them, but such a server does not nearly require the amount of expense as servers actually serving and running the content - like for Phantasy Star or Everquest.
And no, I don't think a matchup server is worth 10 bucks a month.  In fact, I'd prefer the option to plug in the IP of a known existing host and bypass the matchup server altogether.

Apparently many financial experts believe Microsoft could lose close to $2 billion on XBox Live by the end of this year. I don't see how this investment by Microsoft is even close to worth it. Then again, they are pretty secure in the money department over at Microsoft Headquarters.

I heard my teacher say Bill Gates had $forty something billion and now has $thirty something billion.  I would tell you more, but I wasn't paying that much attention.

I hate that ****er, I think he should die along with Saddam Sudane.  That's the only reason I'm anti-Xbox.

Sorry, I probably should'nt say that.  But im 13, I cant control my anger.

How the hell can you be so ignorant at such a young age?

Do you even have a basis for your opinion?
How can you compare Bill gates and saddam hussien?

The reason I stay away from online games that require a monthly fee is because I think that, in terms of gameplay, the monthly fee is not worth it.

Yes, the fees does keep the servers online and active 24/7 and so on. But if I'm going to be paying a monthly fee, I expect more than just a server I can log into and play but also improvements or additions to the gameplay as time passes. Most games do not have anything like that however. Look at PSO. It's still the same game now as it was when it first came out, there have been no regular monthly additional gameplay elements to it.

It's just like playing the single player game, except more people are in it for some reason. But that's not to say PSO isn't a fun game, I really loved it actually when I played 4 split screen with my friends.

Bill Gates and Saddam Hussien.....you've got to be kidding me. I don't hate  Bill Gates, I mean the guy clawed his way to the top and made a ton of money, I hope I can do the same some day. That said I don't like MS, I don't like the fact that if anyone else including Sony where running a division with losses like MS is on X-box they'd be belly up by now. To my knowledge Bill Gates doesn't torture, kill, or maim MS employees....last time I checked Saddam Hussien does do these things to his own people. Not a fair comparison at all. I know you have a dislike for Bill Gates....but come on man.

Agreed. Bill Gates was an extremely shrewd business man. I've got to give him kudos from being a mere geek to a tycoon, but now Microsoft is just a giant greedy squid that'll pull in anything it can get its hands on.

Hussien... Uhm... He'just bad. No need to invade Iraq all over again though.
