Is it ever going to be possible to play VC games that are stored on an SD card?

I would think so, because the Wiis system memory will really start getting low when more N64 games come out (whenever that is).

I hope they start letting us use SD cards and external USB drives soon. There is no reason for us to be limited to the internal storage any more. Hackers have found a way to take the games off of the Wii already so if it was for security that is no longer a valid reason. Also by limiting us to just the internal memory that limits us from every getting any CD based games.

As for N64 games, we have these to look forward to in the near future:
- AeroFighters Assault
- Beetle Adventure Racing
- Mario Kart 64
- Mario Party
- Star Fox 64
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I took some time and searched for just Nintendo published Titles in Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo systems.  Obviously not all these games will be released...and I already did SOME mental editing of the list on my own.  But here is games that should and probably WILL come out on the virtual console sooner or later.  The list is huge and has several games worth downloading and actually paying the current prices for the Virtual Console games...and if that prices drops then even better.

Super Nintendo

Donkey Kong Country Series
Earthbound
Illusion of Gaia
Kirby Super Star
Kirby Dream Course (loved this game)
Kirby's Avalanche
Zelda: Link to the Past
Pilot Wings
Star Fox
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario RPG
SUper Punch-Out
Super Tennis
Tetris Attack
UniRacers
Super Mario World

Total:  17ish games

Nintendo 64

1080 Snowboarding
Bomberman 64
Cruis'n Series (Racing)
Diddy Kong Racing
Donkey Kong 64
Excite Bike 64
F-Zero X
Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest
Kirby 64
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
Mario Kart 64
Mario Party Series
Mischief Makers
Pilot Wings 64
Pokemon Snap
Star Fox 64
Zelda OOT
Zelda Majora's Mask
Wave Race 64

Total:  About 24 Games

Now consider all the third party games we loved, Genesis games...Turbo Graphics 16 games...and finally Nintendo 8 bit.

These Monday Updates are going to need to get bigger.

I'd like to see SSFII:Turbo for the Genesis, but somehow I don't see that happening seeing as how they already released a SSFII.

SSF2T didn't make it onto any 16bit console.   SF2WW SF2HF and SSF2 did.  The only Nintendo system to have SSF2T is the GBA. (and it was clearly a "make it for launch" port)

IMO, if SF2 does well enough on the VC I'd much rather them bring over Street Fighter Anniversary Collection than to just load the VC up with the other 2 SF2 games.  Knowing Capcom though, they probably would just release the other 2 since it'd be infinitely cheaper to do.   It would be somewhat nice to get the Genesis Special Champion edition, but  it would be quite a downgrade from SNES outside of gameplay and at that point I'd rather either see the arcade one released or SFAC.

On another note,

"Aladdin on the Genesis...
God... I was such a Nintendo fanboy back in the day but Aladdin was like... heaven"

What is such the big deal about Aladdin on Genesis?  Like Earthworm Jim, outside of it's presentation I've always thought the game itself was mud.

YES

Aladdin was awesome on Genesis.  It was also awesome on SNES, but I I have a deep love affair with the Genesis version.  Unfortunately I don't see it coming to VC, but it damn well should.

I could have swore we had SF2T for the Genesis.  Well at least it had a Turbo option (to let you change game speed) and let you play as the four bosses.

Yep, you're ri ght. However they didn't call it Street Fighter 2 Turbo. They called it Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition on the Sega Genesis. Both it and the SNES version contained Championship Edition and Hyper Fighting expansion modes from the arcade.

I was an adequate player of both the SNES version of it (It was called Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting on the SNES) and the Genesis version. The SNES version was better, played better, had better sound and speed and such.

They should just stick with the SNES versions of Street Fighter. The Genesis version wasn't that different, except for the FM Synthesized music and the lower colour palette.

I think the confusion was you earlier said 'SSF2T' which is Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo instead of 'SF2T' which is Street Fighter 2 Turbo which did come out on the SNES.

There are a lot scarier things than you, and I'm one of them!

It's Monday, where are my VC games, Nintendo?!?

Geeze, nintendo is failing and ripping us off at the same time.  This is just their way to get us to pay for overpriced NES Tennis.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

They need to get Pro Wrestling on there.  That's one of the old NOA developed NES games I would get.

They need Chip n Dale for NES on the VC...that game brings back OLD memories.  I doubt I would still like it but It would be fun to see after 15 some odd years, and I'm sure my sister would love it.

I LOVED Chip 'n Dale. What an awesome game. Little Mermaid too. Back then Disney made good games! I'd definitely buy Chip 'n Dale and get some two player action going on.

Actually, it was Capcom that made those games.  Many of those Disney games by Capcom were really good.  You'll even hear Ian praising Duck Tales (NES) sometimes.

Capcom games like those ones, Mega Man, and others, are the kind of caliber of games we need to see more of on the VC.
