Wii Controller gloves...worth it?
« on: November 20, 2006, 05:58:23 AM »
Ok...I've got a Wii...but I can't play it until Christmas since it is technically the kids' Christmas present.  I do have a question though: are the protector/cover/glove thingies for the Wiimote worth it?  Do they improve grip at all?  Do they detract from the Wiimote's feel?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to get some to have at Christmas.  The main thing is that they would differentiate the Wiimotes based on color...but I don't want to sacrifice the way they feel.

Any opinions yet?

* I loved Super Mario on my old NES.
* I really liked my PS1 too.
* Ahh, but my GameCube and DS Lite rock.

After one day of playing Zelda I noticed the "sweaty palm effect" on the Nunchuk.  It wasn't nearly as noticeable on the Wiimote, and I think that the shape is partly because of that.  I'd say that for grip, it's unnecessary.

That said, each Wiimote has memory in it on which you can store your Mii.  A colored remote sleeve might help differentiate which Wiimote your Mii is on.

Christ, my spellcheck is really going crazy on all this new stuff.
