I was going to go to Circuit City at 3:30 this morning, I took a short nap, woke up at 3:15 and said, "This isn't worth it" and went back to sleep. Which was a GOOD thing, because they didn't have any!

My dad checked out Toys R Us for me at 5am, he said there was a line of people (all with shopping carts) that snaked around the entire parking lot and shopping center. His estimate was 800 people, though I really don't believe that. Maybe 300, since there's no way that many people would wait, since only 100 could probably go in at a time. But anyway, even if people at the front of the line weren't in line for a Wii, they'd still probably buy one knowing how sought-after it is.

At this point, I'm willing to wait in front of a store for 8 hours. That's a lot less time than I've spent in the past 6 days going out, wasting gas, making phone calls, and refreshing web pages. The only thing is, I have no one to wait with me - no one to switch off with to eat/go to the bathroom/whatever.

Oh btw, 60 new pages of Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis on ebay this morning. All the scalpers were out in full force.

I also heard Best Buy on Sunday. Although they said "call mid-afternoon to make sure they showed up" I was at work so couldn't talk to much, but I'm pretty sure it meant they'd be in sunday afternoon. I have a buddy that works at one so I'll double check as soon as I can. Either way, I think I'll stop by BestBuy on sunday morning

My dad went to check around today. He says that stores didn't have Wiis in.

I'm guessing that they were sold during the black Friday rush, so more units may be available. But at this rate I am giving my hopes of getting a Wii by XMAS.

When someone says "Buy this!" in a massive scale, people will obey and the Wii is proof of this.

Nah, don't give up hope.....you'll get one. Of course everythings sold out today, people go insane on this day! Just wait til next week, or try your local best buy on sunday

Alright, so it looks like Best Buy on Sunday is my last best hope until next weekend. I'm not sure what to expect. Seeing as how the manager announced they would have some sunday to all teh people who didn't get one at launch, there could be quite a few people there. I'm goign to get there early, wait for it to open, check out the situation, and then if they expect a shipment later in teh day I'll just chillax aroudn the area till the afternoon or whatever. I REALLY want to play it this weekend, even if just for a little bit ;___;

I am with you knowsnothing. my area has NONE. They never got anything other than a few per store for launch. No reshipments, and "no idea when we'll get more"... and this is stores all through the tri-state area!

And while I'm bitching ...standing in line for a day just to have a chance at preordering (how can anyone have time for this?!), then camping out in front of a store just to 'hopefully' pick one up, then again on launch day where many of these people still did not get their preorders, then to have constant calls to the nearest stores which are over an hour away to constant hunting down these stupid online bundles scams, ebay (what a joke), and all around price gouging has made me lose any excitement for this console I've been following for years, and even invested in Nintendo for. There are/will be people in areas that will not have one until mid-January, after the post-christmas rush, and then again after restocking from the new years sales. Gamecube was the same way and I didn't get one until early January. Quite annoying, but at least some real gamers did get theres already.

Well I guess I shouldn't have a problem finding a Wii now, a certion situation has happend and now I'm broke all over again so I now have no money for a Wii. Well it should take me about 3 weeks to save up enough again, so have fun everyone who's lucky enough to find a Wii now.

At least by the time I get enough money hopefully they'll be enough Wii in stores by then.

Hey guys I work at a Best Buy in South Florida. I don't know if or how many units other retailers have received, but over in my store we received 42 units from UPS a couple of days ago for the Sunday ad. I would say your best bet would be to show up early tomorrow morning to pick up a unit. Oh and I have to say this system rocks!!!

Bah, I figure if I cannot get a Wii in time for Christmas I'll just invest more in the DS. Playing four-player games with the DS would be a blast with my siblings and there are a lot of DS games I've held out on.

thanks guys, because of that Kotaku tip i managed to get my Wii. I waited in line from 5:30 till 7:00 was 8 out of 9th new Wii owner.

Because of EB noise, I waited from 10:30pm thursday till 6am friday in a mall parking lot. My friends and I got 2 of the 3 Wiis. Unfortunately, my neice and nephew took over my machine all day and I haven't really experienced it yet.

I'am glad you all got your systems. I remember when I first tried the new controller it felt weird but also fun and unique. The ONE thing I'am waiting on are the damn component cables from Nintendo, because I have a Sony LCD tv and want to take advantage of it as much as possible. If bad comes to worse I'll just order directly from Nintendo and be done with it. Enjoy your Wii's......

I'm still without Wii. Does anyone (uncle bob?) know of the next Walmart shipment?
It looks like one chain get bulk shipments at a time. All the walmarts near me (well, closest is over an hour away) are still saying they've only recieved the launch shipment and always tell me in a somewhat rude manner they don't know when more are coming. Whats up?!

I keep hearing "three weeks" on the next Wii shipment.

I'm back at school now, and I've given up on getting a Wii before Christmas break. Hopefully by then the frothing demand will have subsided to reasonable levels.

I think the manager at our Best Buy said he expected weekly shipments, but I'm not positive....I've heard a lot of vague "We'll have more for Christmas" statements too...
