Do you know if I could get the same price if I went in store? Then I could get the game for less than $30 after tax and that would make me happy.

I bought WiiPlay yesterday and went to Gamestop to do so. They said they had just the game in stock and I could purchase it w/o the controller. It took him a few minutes to find it and look up the price, so I started guessing what the price would be. I was hoping for "honest" price of $9.99 and he shrugged. As he went to scan it in I suggested $14.99 as a fair price that I was willing to pay, he shrugged again. Just as he was about to announce the price I said "Don't tell me it's something like $20 or so" and he said "$29.99, you get get this or Resident Wiivil and pay the same". I was shocked, as that is some serious price gouging. THey probably bought it back for $5 and reselling it at $15.00 would be fair, but $30!!!! you've got to be joking. I'd rather pay an extra $20 and get the controller too, so thats what I did. (I had a $25.00 gift card and thats the only reason I went in there.)

No, assuming everything I post is an online deal only, unless otherwise noted.  They're typically posted under "daily deals" sections and the prices jump up and down daily.

I was on the lookout for Wii reviews when I stumbled upon this site, (http://www.smartratings.com/review/electronics/video_gaming_consoles/86). I immediately noticed the list of various merchants selling Wii online. Although stocks are still limited, they're coming in slow steady supply. All items are sold in bundles so that means that they come in complete sets including Wii Sports.

For Canadians again, Zellers is having this thing from September 8 - 14 where you can get WiiPlay for $40 CDN. That's $5 less than the remote itself! I almost feel like buying another copy even though I have four remotes already..

Awesome. But what do you do with extra copies of Wii Play discs you don't need?

Send them to me.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Or sell it on eBay for like $10.. Oh yeah, and I just found this out..

If you go here and scroll down to the end, you'll find a Zellers coupon. Apparently, you save $10 off any $50 purchase.

So.. pick up something for $10 or more in addition to WiiPlay and you can use that coupon. After it's all said and done, you'll have saved $30 off $70 + purchases - pretty amazing.

Why pay:  $44.99?
Our Price:

$43.99

You Save: $1.00
Ahahahahaha!!

For Canadians:

Preorder Super Mario Galaxy  at Amazon, then buy something else worth over $0.01 (the cheapest one is a kids book like this). Then, use the $10 off $50 coupon code MAPOCTNCSAVE. For Alberta, the total including taxes (and free shipping) for Galaxy and the book is $43.71 CDN.

You could use this deal to buy an extra game or accessory for Wii instead of that book. If you buy Mario plus a nunchuck, it comes out to $68.88 total.

There is a rumor currently floating around CAG stating that if you buy Super Mario Galaxy at Toys R Us during the week of 11/11 - 11/17 you will get a $25 giftcard for use on your next purchase (in store only). No confirmation(scans of ad), but it will be an awesome deal if true. Regardless I am going to move my preorder to them just to be sure if it does turn out to be true I'm set. I'll edit this post when the proof/details of the situation are revealed.

EDIT: You can find the image here confirming the offer!

If you don't want to wait for the TRU deal to come true this isn't nearly as good, but you still save some money.

Add Trauma Center to that list, assuming it makes it to store shelves in time for the deal.  Also, Link's Cross Bow Training should be out.  When does Harvey Birdman and Rayman hit shelves?
