Sure, Decoyman is making avatars and I'm hosting them so we can do that. Also, Dasmos told me to pick someone random for him, so we can do that for you also. I'll just wait first to let those who want to choose a character pick someone so that I don't deny them the choice. Also, this thread will be closed on Saturday the 30th around 4 p.m. Eastern. Then I will send out the roles. Then, we'll start the game Oct. 1, this Sunday.

Oh, and Infernal. You need to choose a character. Unless you want us to choose one randomly. (It'll probably be Captain Falcon.)

Is Sunday a problem? It works well for me and my schedule but if it's a problem, I can move it up to the monday. Plus, I figured most people would have a day off so we could have more involvement on the first day. If you're wondering about the times, I was planning to start the days around, 11-12 Eastern and close them around midnight central time. So, if you live in the mountain timezone like I do, the days would start around 9am - 10am and close 11 pm.

He can still play. There's a voting rule I made sure to mention. You must vote once every two days. So, he has to play for at least half the game.

I died in that game (and didnt play very well while I was alive) so I dont feel like looking it up. I remember TYP being protected the whole game, but I dont think I remember crash being protected. Oh well, like I said, its not worth it to go and look it up.

Well, I can probably extend it later than earlier. See, on certain days, I have to get up at 6:30 am and take a bus to school where I have a class at 8:00. The class has no computers and doesn't end until 9:30. Then I can go to a lab and start the next day. I didn't want to stay up late on those nights where I had to get up early, which is why I was posting the time limit. However, I can leave it open for later at night if a mod wants to help me by locking it at a certain point. Unfortunately, I think the only mod so far is Pale and I'd hate to force that on him. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Wow... I've played Mafia before, but these rules are MINDBLOWINGLY COMPLEX compared to what I played.

Seriously, you guys are hardcore mafia players. I'm a poor little casual/nongamer...

Sorry, but I'll be sitting this one out. (Am I an example of a casual/non-gamer being scared off by hardcore rules? you betcha! I don't have the time or energy to get into a full blown drag-out forum conspiracy war of trusts!)

I'll make sure to watch the game's progress though!

Ha ha! You're not that first one to say that to me. Yeah, I think part of the problem is I tried to lay things out as specifically as I could to prevent problems from in the past where there were "broken" mafias. Roles that had to much leeway. Also, I did it to welcome new players by making sure everything was layed out so they could figure everything out. And clearly, nothing welcomes new players more than lines and lines of rules. Also, somethings don't apply to everyone. All those roles with the mafia aren't really that important except to those in the mafia. This is meant to be a reference guide to the different groups.

But..the townspeople have roles too? And then people have to switch sides? Or I have to come under the control of someone else? And I'll need to know all these roles to understand the shifts of power, the intrigues and why more than one person is dying at a time or what to suspect other people of being or GAAAAAAAAAAHHHH TOO COMPLEX!
