Well, guess what I don't have? Hint: I'm not fit to aim a rifle.

KDR has a really good point.  It may be a bad idea for nintendo to alienate the part of their userbase who, like KDR, does not have depth perception.  It would only be a small percentage of the audience.  3D would make a good feature, but its probably not something that games should rely on in the future.

"It would only be a small percentage of the audience"

Is that true? I think is quite the opposite, most people have perception depth. It really depends how well is implemented, if in the future virtual reality gets implemented extremely well, they will use it even if theres a minority that cant aprecciate it, because the rest will be thrilled. Minorities always get screwed ( I should know, Im left handed).

The problem is that this fake depth causes eyestrain (especially because it screws up the eye's focus distance calculations) without giving any benefit. This is like adding a bloom shader to a game, it's cool for five minutes, then your eyes start hurting.

What would the image look like if a person had no perception depth? Reason why I ask is that maybe it is possible that all this feature would do is add one more visual treat to the system, but won't detract from those that can still see basic video game 3D. I have to agree with KDR though, in that if it indeed gives you a headache then it should not be used. I'll stick with my VB in that case .

3d visuals can be optional. Like 3d sound is today. Rogue Leader is much better with surround sound, but you don't actually need to identify where enemies are coming from by sound alone to win the game.
