Topic: Nintendo has done the impossible!!

The impossible being, my 68 year old mother who's afraid of technology pick up my DS and play Brain age for about 35 minutes!  Now I don't think shes gonna immediatly run out and buy a DS, but just her picking it up and "playing nintendo" is just a small success story I can only attribute to the DS  

Anyone else have non gamer stories like these?

Yep, subjecting my mother to Katamari made her play a few rounds. Usually she only plays point and click adventures.

Im going to pick up a copy of Brain Age and then report any success stories I have.

My sister loves the DS (which isn't too weird, she plays GC with me sometimes).
My mother wants to buy a DS for herself and my sister, and she's interested in the Revolution.  She's played games before but she's not a big gamer.  So yeah, definitely.
Also, my grandmother plays DDR, but I mostly use that fact to mock people who play DDR

My my not only plays Brain Training, but she shares it with people at work. One of the guys she works with is on the verge of buying his own DS just to have his own copy of the game. One the two of them start playing multi-player at work, I'm sure the other two people will feel left out and go buy one too.

My mom wants to buy a DS after I showed her the demo earlier this past weekend.  It's absolutely insane.

I still think it'll take a few weeks/months before it explodes, but hot damn!  It's stunning software.

P.S. Headcount is a lot of fun.
