This is a really stupid thread that involves no substance at all, but it just now dawned on me as I was reading about the 3 million NWC users.  If the Revolution ships with the USB Connector...then there's literally no reason for anyone to stay offline (unless they don't own a computer, but...yeah).

Including the USB connection would be a really good idea.  After all forcing someone to have a wireless router for a home console that is likely going to be staying put the whole time is pretty silly.  Including the adapter means that everyone can do it while still having the flexibility of no cords being setup everywhere.

The USB connector is included with the WiFi Dongle...and that's all you need...

This would be a smart move, but at the same time, it means Nintendo will either A)Increase the price of the System.  or B)Lose money on another potential sale.  Not everyone needs the USB connector, specially since it is already on sale.  I personally can't wait to buy the USB adapter and start playing my DS online at home.

I've seen the USB Wi-Fi Connector at Best Buy this past Christmas season, which is weird because I thought it was online-only.

I think it should be optional, so it shouldn't be packed in, but then it must be readily available in the same retail locations for those who want it if it's to be used at all.  Not like those GameCube component output cables which are nice but were only available online, and then Nintendo omitted that feature from later GameCubes because "less than 1% of GameCube users made use of it".

I don't think people have much of a problem ordering things online anymore but the word has to be out that such things are available if for some reason they can't put them in the stores.

I saw the USB Adapter at both Toys R Us and EB yesterday.  I thought it was online only too so it was suprising.  If I can't get my stupid router to work I might just get one.  I think it would be better to include it with every Rev but they'll be okay if they don't IF they make a big deal about it.  Like the manual for the system should be hyping it up big time and it should be in any store that sells games.  It should be as widely available as memory cards.  Technically it's not needed so it's not exactly the same as Nintendo selling the Cube broadband adapter seperately.  It's not a requirement but Nintendo won't help themselves any if they make it an obscure item.

Nintendo of Canada decided that, for this and Electroplankton, it would be a better idea if they were available in certain retailers rather than only online like NOA was doing. A good decision!

I think that there should be a coupon for a USB adapter included with the Rev. 50% off or something. That way, whoever has one already won't get another one, and if you don't have one, you can get it cheap.

Laugho, then you were using silly terminology...I thought you were talking about the USB cable that comes with the dongle, which is the real USB connector...

Woah, really?  I've only seen pictures of this doohickey.  I always assumed that was the dongle and you just plug it into your USB slot.

There is a USB connection on the Revolution but the console sounds like it will be optimised for a wireless connection, that is how the multi-system set-up is suppose to work.

Considering how many households have a wireless router or are planning on having a wireless router it would be rediculous for nintendo to pack it in with the nintendo revolution. Not only that but many people already have the usb dongle so there really isnt any reason to bundle it. Although a voucher is a really good idea. Probably the best idea would be like 5 free downloads of your choice and 3 months free membership to the download site. That way people will try the games and download the ones they like. This will make people who arnt familliar with nintendos library a chance to induldge.
