I got another test for all of you, try and see if you get this one right

------------------------------------

Exercise of the brain is as important as exercise of the muscles. As we grow older, it's important that we keep mentally alert. The saying, "If you don't use it, you will lose it" also applies to the brain, so...

Below is a very private way to gauge your loss or non-loss of intelligence. So, take the following test presented here and determine if you are losing it or are still "with it."

The extra spaces between questions and answers are so you don't see the answers until you have thought up your own.

OK, relax, clear your mind and begin.

       1. What do you put in a toaster?

       Answer: "bread." If you said "toast," then give up now and go do something else. Try not to hurt yourself. If you said, "bread," go to Question 2.

       2. Say "silk" five times. Now spell "silk." What do cows drink?

       Answer: Cows drink water. If you said "milk," please do not attempt the next question. Your brain is obviously overstressed and may even overheat. It may be that you need to content yourself with reading something more appropriate such as Children's World. If you said "water" then proceed to question 3.

       3. If a red house is made from red bricks and a blue house is made from blue bricks and a pink house is made from pink bricks and a black house is made from black bricks, what is a green house made from?

       Answer: Greenhouses are made from glass. If you said "green bricks," what are you still doing here reading these questions? If you said "glass," then go on to Question 4.

       4. It's twenty years ago, and a plane is flying at 20,000 feet over Germany. (If you will recall, Germany at the time was politically divided into West Germany and East Germany) Anyway, during the flight, TWO of the engines fail. The pilot, realizing that the last remaining engine is also failing, decides on a crash landing procedure. Unfortunately the engine fails before he has the time and the plane fatally crashes smack in the middle of "no man's land" between East Germany and West Germany Where would you bury the survivors? East Germany or West Germany or in "no man's land"?

       Answer: You don't, of course, bury survivors. If you said ANYTHING else, you are a real dunce and you must NEVER try to rescue anyone from a plane crash. Your efforts would not be appreciated. If you said, "Don't bury the survivors" then proceed to the next question.

       5. If the hour hand on a clock moves 1/60 of a degree every minute then how many degrees will the hour hand move in one hour?

       Answer: One degree. If you said "360 degrees" or anything other than "one degree," you are to be congratulated on getting this far, but you are obviously out of your league. Turn your pencil in and exit the room. Everyone else proceed to the final question.

        6. Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from London to Milford Haven in Wales. In London, 17 people get on the bus. In Reading, six people get off the bus and nine people get on. In Swindon, two people get off and four get on. In Cardiff, 11 people get off and 16 people get in. In Swansea, three people get off and five people get on. In Carmathen, six people get off and three get on. You then arrive at Milford Haven.  What was the name of the bus driver?

       Answer: Oh, for crying out loud! Don't you remember? It was YOU!

5. If the hour hand on a clock moves 1/60 of a degree every minute then how many degrees will the hour hand move in one hour?
attempt at explanation: if it moves 1/60th of a degree a minute that would be 1 of 60 degrees every minute and there are 60 degrees in that hour(every degree is a minute). basicaly saying that the hour hand would move 60 times in an hour and only 1 of those 60 happens every minute.

Your questions fail.  Since Question #3 said green house not greenhouse your answer is null and void.

I got all the others except #6 because I'm an idiot.

However, the setup for the clock question is also wrong.  The hour hand actually moves 1/2 of a degree every minute and a total of 30 degrees every hour.  (1/2 degree per minute x 60 minutes per hour = 30 degrees per hour.  30 degrees per hour x 12 hours per revolution = 360 degrees per revolution)

Well #3 is a trick question so how it is worded is to throw you off.

as for the clock question, it stets it self up with the word IF so that it is not wrong.

I got a NEW test for all you smart people, very similar to the first, so here you go.....

Below are four (4 ) questions and a bonus question. You have to answer
them instantly. You can't take your time
, answer all of them immediately
. OK?

Let's find out just how clever you really are....

Ready? GO!!!

First Question:

You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What
position are you in?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are
absolutely wrong! If you overtake the second person and you take his
place, you are second!
Try not to screw up next time.
Now answer the second question,
but don't take as much time as you took for the first question, OK ?
Second Question:
If you overtake the last person, then you are...?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Answer: If you answered that you are second to last, then you are wrong
again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST Person?

You're not very good at this, are you?

Third Question:

Very tricky arithmetic! Note: This must be done in your head only .
Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it.

Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000 . Now add 30 .
Add another 1000 . Now add 20 . Now add another 1000
Now add 10 . What is the total?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you get 5000?
The correct answer is actually 4100.
If you don't believe it, check it with a calculator!
Today is definitely not your day, is it?
Maybe you'll get the last question right....
Maybe.
Fourth Question:
Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini,
4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Did you Answer Nunu?

NO! Of course it isn't.
Her name is Mary. Read the question again!

Okay, now the bonus round:

A mute person goes into a shop and wants to buy a toothbrush. By
imitating the action of brushing his teeth he successfully
expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is
done.
Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair of
sunglasses; how does HE indicate what he wants?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He just has to open his mouth and ask...
It's really very simple.... Like you!
Now don't be afraid to post our honest answers, its not like anyone is gonna ridicule you and call you stupid or an idiot*
I figured that much, but I don't get why after the answer is revealed the person wouldn't instantly realise the mistake, instead it suggests using a calculator. It just seems odd.
Yes, thought it's not a holiday. (I don't think.);
1; all 12; 6 (3 per team right?); sure, why not?; 70; 2
The next one depends. Do you take the first pill immediately? If so then 60 (unless you count digestion time.) Else 90;
9; 1; 12
Ok, I got a few more and I won't make them multiple choice to add to the challenge, we have too many smart people here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) I went to bed at eight o'clock in the evening and wound up my clock and set the alarm to sound at nine o'clock in the morning. How many hours sleep would I get before being awoken by the alarm?
2) If you had only one match and entered a COLD and DARK room, where there was an oil heater, an oil lamp and a candle, which would you light first?
3) A man builds a house with four sides of rectangular construction, each side having a southern exposure. A big bear comes along. What color is the bear?
4) A bum can roll four butts into one cigarette. He starts out with sixteen cigarettes. How many cigarettes is he ultimately able to smoke?
5)  A rooster lays an egg which rolls down an extended 45-degree incline. How far will the egg roll after thirty seconds?
6) A boat is drifting atop water that is fourteen feet deep. Attached to its side is a ladder which has two of its bottom rungs submerged under the water. Each rung is a foot apart. There are eight rungs in all. The water level goes down exactly two feet. How many rungs are now submerged?
7) Read this sentence:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY
COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.
Now count the F's in that sentence. Count them ONLY ONCE: do not go back and count them again. How many F's did you count?
1. One hour - if it's a wind-up clock then it's analogue and you would only be able to put the alarm hand on the 9 (can't set AM or PM), therefore it rings at 9pm.
2. The match
3. Hmm, dunno.. brown?
4. 21 - 16+4 from butts+1 from butts
5. Roosters are male..
6. Oh hay I remember this from a while back - it's still 2 rungs
7. Six (I see what you did there - a few words with no Fs at the end and then OF, but many people disregard that one)
