I question this list.  I'm sure it would be huge news if MS bought any more game developers.  Maybe the person who wrote the list was thinking, "There as good as second-party" since Bioware gives a lot of attention to Xbox.  Or maybe it's utter garbage.
That's my opinion, not yours.

That's a pretty good list of developers.  Aside from Square Enix they're not really missing anybody there.  Compare this to Nintendo who realistically will probably initially not have Rev support from Konami, Rockstar or Tecmo.  But of course this all depends on what they actually get.  The Xbox for example had Capcom support but it wasn't that great.

Still looking at this list it becomes clear that Nintendo has to step things up for the Rev.  They currently don't have this amount of third party support or first/second parties and they kinda need to for the Rev to take off.  Nintendo should look at this list as a checklist for supporters.  Their goal should be to have 90% of the publishers on this list on board for the Rev.

So whats new? All of these developers were on board for the Xbox.  I thought there were new Shocking developers?

Btw. THey havent bought out Bioware but they have an exclusive deal. Epic? I could have sworn Midway has a deal with Epic. So this list isnt completly acurate

The third-party "Mistwalker" name is going to slapped on first-party Microsoft-developed RPGs.

That counts as "second party" right?

(Seriously. I mean, "second party" doesn't actually mean anything. It just a media/marketing term that gets slapped onto anything that doesn't fit into either of the traditional first/third party divisions.)

So it's a legit list, give or take one or two names maybe.  The list looks impressive, but as others have said, there aren't any shockers considering the Xbox's list of supporters.  More important are the games, which may initially be generation-stradling multiplatform for many of these publishers.  Perhaps they have a few more surprise publishers/developers to reveal--otherwise the comments about huge Japanese support will seem a bit over-hyped.

While more guys might be added. Tecmos team Ninja has already said they would develop for the strongest system. So they might loose developers sooner than later too

So the two lists aren't "third party" and "first/second party".

They're "will eventually support" and "currently working on" lists for the Xbox2.

It doesn't look nearly as good in that light.

It hurts me to see Rare on that list... imagine: this will be the first 3D generation for Nintendo to lack ALL Rare magic.

It saddens me.

To me, it just seems that Microsoft already owns half of Nintendo.

Actually, GameCube lacked all Rare magic.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
