The "Go Play Games" exhibition at the Edinburgh International Games Festival runs from the 8th to 22nd August at the Royal Museum in Edinburgh.

EIGF04: IT’S PLAY TIME


Scotland’s only public gameplay exhibition: Go Play Games, 8th-22nd August 2004, Royal Museum, Chambers Street, Edinburgh


Tuesday 3 August 2004/... Giving consumers the chance to get 'hands on' with some of the newest games before they hit the shops, Scotland's only public gameplay exhibition 'Go Play Games' as part of the Edinburgh International Games Festival offers two weeks of gaming fun featuring the best examples of contemporary computer and video games.


Go Play Games is split into five distinct areas: Nintendo, Nokia N-GageTM, PlayStation® 2, Xbox® and NVIDIATM's The Way It's Meant To Be Played Range on PC. Gamers get the exclusive chance to test drive a whole host of superb games at the festival, including a selection of titles not yet released in the UK.


Annette MacTavish, Learning and Programmes Manager at the National Museums of Scotland, said: 'We are delighted that Go Play Games is returning to the Royal Museum for 2004. It was incredibly popular last year, attracting gamers of all ages, and with a longer run it looks set to be even more successful this year.'
