I was over at
GCAdvanced and they had an interesting new article detailing supposed games confirmed or heavily rumored (they stated the latest EGM as their source). Some of the games include Monkey Ball, a Team Ninja game, Chu Chu Rocket, a Silent Hill(!?) game, Baten Kaitos. Interestingly enough, Tomonobu Itagaki, the somewhat free-wheeling captain of Team Ninja, was apparently quoted as thinking the DS was "better" than the PSP. What that comment is supposed to mean I dont know, but I really want to see the new EGM!
Most importantly however...Koji Igarashi, the head of the Castlevania games since Symphony of the Night, apparently has
confirmed a DS Castlevania....with gameplay right along the lines of Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow. I cant hear that enough...Castlevania totally owns me ^ ^;
I wonder how the DS can factor into the gameplay of Castlevania? One little thing, just a small touch I would like to see, is for them to implement the touch screen when viewing the map of the Castle. I would like them to implement some kind of teleport spell that allows you to teleport to the room you touch on the map. Gawd, that would save so much travel time, when all you want to do is arrive at point B.
Just a small touch, but little things like that can really add up to an overall more enjoyable game. Hmm, then theres the fact that the DS's sound chip will guaruntee the rich orchestrated music that is a Castlevania staple =)
Any other ideas of gameplay you could see the DS adding to Castlevania?
