Topic: Good news for DS and PSP

SquareEnix president Youichi Wada commented that after providing a LAUNCH title for the DS, the company will continue its support.  

Although one title has officially been confirmed for PSP besides the FF7AC movie, Wada said they're not interested in releasing ports for the PSP, but rather original content.

The launch title...OK, thats Egg Monster Hero, I beleive. Strange, kinda fruity title, mightbe cool.
Any confirmation on Crystal Chronicles making the DS plunge? Cuz I read it on someone's release list...but maybe I was hallucinatin in my post-E3 excitement. Crystal Chronicles BELONGS on the DS. There can be no question...

Egg Monster Heroes: The demo shown was hardly indicative of what a game might be like.  1. Drag an army to attack another army.  2.  Fight a completely unrelated turned based battle and select a point you'd like to attack on the enemy's body.

Crystal Chronicles is on the official release list.  Rest assured that it's coming.

I kid, I kid. Hopefully they will be able to work in Wi-Fi capabilities with this one....but just the bluetooth multiplayer alone will make it worthwhile.

FFCC is perfect for the DS.
It can allow all the same innovations of the GC game (and more) and make it a hell of a lot more accessible to most gamers who maybe didn't have a bunch of GBAs to hook up to their Gamecubes with the sold-separately link-cables. Not just FFCC, but many of the types of games Nintendo had in mind for the GCN-GBA connectivity.

Of course the game that will REALLY be exponentially better on the DS is Animal Crossing with the touch screen for typing/drawing and wireless communication with other systems. It was a surprisingly popular on the GCN (even in the US) but could be a phenomenon on the DS.

Good news?  For DS AAAAAND PSP?  So this is like one of those good-news bad-news things right?  Heh heh...sorry, I thought that was kinda funny...heh, heh...

I hope they keep two screen games strictly for the DS.  They can still make some the GCN/GBA but keep it to the point where people w/o a GCN/GBA but have the other can still do their 100% completion w/o buying two parts.
