Topic: pikmin 2 scores from japan

according to a few sites now the scores are coming in from japan
the most surprising was famitsu- scoring pikmin 2 10,10,9,10 - 39/40

i really cant wait for this game now- it cant come out fast enough

Holy c-sticks!  These scores are almost too good to be true.

I enjoyed the first game, but only rented it.  I might buy Pikmin 2 afterall.

Sh!t that's a really high score.  It's probably fair to guess that that's Famitsu's highest scored Cube game.  Of course like I needed any review to tell me Pikmin 2 would rock.  Pikmin 1 + multiplayer - 30 day time limit = really awesome game.

If memory serves me right that honor goes to the 40/40 Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker. And people that Famitsu score is from Famitsu GC not good ol regular multi-platform Famitsu.

you are correct, wind waker did score a perfect 40.  i believe only 4 games have ever been granted a perfect score by famitsu--ocarina of time, soul caliber, vagrant story, and wind waker.

Not true.  That's easily one of the best games on the Cube.  I just assumed it wouldn't have gotten a perfect score since that sort of thing is pretty rare.

Er, I didn't like the original Pikmin that much. I just got bored with it too quickly. I might rent the sequel or something when it comes out in Australia in four years.

Im sorta with Infernal on this one. I liked Pikmin but that was it. I might rent it or take advantage of EB's 7 day guarentee or something.

Actually, RE remake got a 39/40 as well as ToS.  RE 0 recieved a 38/40 :0.

ToS got a 34 from Famitsu and a 37 from Famitsu Cube

And the main scores are in!

Famitsu: 9 / 9 / 9 / 9 - (36/40)
Dorimaga: 10 / 9 / 9

And still very, very good scores...

Air Ride is helluva lot of fun.  I've played more F-Zero by myself, for the challenge and the speed, but my friends and I played a ton of Air Ride together, much more than F-Zero.
