Nintendo in a patenting rampage?

i was looking throught the us patent and trademark office today and i notice that theyve put up a gajillion things within the last few days...alot of recent stuff....they even patented jumping in a game.....

sorry if i posted with no content the damn thing sent before i got a chance to write anything

also it seems nintendo is releasing a new controller?

How could they patent jumping in a game?  Does that mean that Nintendo would get royalties from virtually every game released?  That's a pretty sound strategy.  As far as I know Donkey Kong was the first game to feature jumping in it.  I don't see how a mere concept could be patented though.  Owning a patent to jumping in a game is like owning a patent on the C note in music.

First off, make it a hotlink, Perm- nobody likes a wide thread. =\ Secondly, I looked through all of those patents (some of which were filed as far back as November) and I didn't see anything about jumping- it was all hardware or software devices.

Yeah, just so you know...Not all of those are Nintendo patents...One of them is even a Microsoft patent...Search accuracy = meh

It's more like the patent office is approving at a rampage pace. These things were all filed years ago (not all by Nin). It often takes years for approval. There aren't many future clues to be found -- it wasn't until a few months ago that GameCube-specific patents started getting approved.

crap sorry about the long lin fixing that now ...also i was on a mac at school..and the version of internet explorer just resized the link for the table so i didnt notice...

and yeah i know nto all thsoe are nintendo...but yeah some of the finds are interesting.....the uspto is always worth a look around e3.

Man, the way these things are written... sounds more like legal jargon mixed with technical jargon. I've no idea what it means.
