With a sequel almost certainly on the way and the PS2's pad promising easier control than the fiddly GC one
They've got to be kinding.  "Fiddly"?

Oh, I'd take this with a grain of salt right now.  It could happen just as easily as it couldn't.

I doubt it as it was their top selling title or the Gamecube, and demographically it would be suicide because Nintendo fans like exclusive games and it it not the type of game that sells on the playstation. CAPCOM just try selling this game on both platforms and witness how Viewtiful Joe 2 sells like garbage.

Also this is coming from a magazine dedicated to the PS2. I have not read the OPM magagzine but if it is like the OXM then its fanboy dribble with a ton of lies and rumors.

Killer 7 is having trouble getting approved by SCEA and I think that another Viewtiful Joe could run into the same problem as someone on teh neo-geo.com boards said that SCEA is not approving any 2D games.

This is ancient news. It's most likely headed to the PS2.

Casey: They're not approving old Neo-Geo titles that were designed for hardware made in 1989... Viewtiful Joe is in full 3D for a start, and it's a current game. Saying that Sony wouldn't approve it is just silly.

Killer 7 can't even get approved by SCEA and thats the reason its probably going to be a Cube exclusive. Also I have played SNK vs. Capcom SVC Chaos and it looks really good, but it did not get approved when there would be a demand for the game. SCEA does not like 2D games and they do not like to not have exclusive content, this is why I say it may not happen.

capcom themselves have commented on how trying to port viewtiful joe would be far more challenge than its worth, the game was MADE to run on gamecube hardware, and porting it would require a nearly full redesign of the entire graphics engine.

they also said that its not going to happen

it wouldn't be announced in a magazine like that anyway, im sure that some sort of japanese magazine would get word of it before the UK does.

YAWN, who the hell cares.
Its not like this will affect cube sales any since the the game has sold about as much as it is going to.

^ I think the loss of exclusivity will matter, at least a little...it's one less reason for people to pick up Cubes if they don't have one, although you're right that the impact on cube sales would be minimal. But either way it's not good for image.

Do keep in mind this is a RUMOR, it's hasn't been verified yet.

How ironic. Playstation gamers bashing the GC controller. Next time they'll tell us how bad the Cube's graphics are compared to the PS2, eh?
Either way I'd say the PS2 would choke on VJ. Or give us the ultimate proof that the PS2's graphics are vastly inferior to the GCs .

[NOTE: I assume this is the same thing that was posted on C-E]

They already DO bash the GC's graphics compared to PS2. They are PS2 fanboys
I mean, Gran Turismo is like the pinnacle of graphics, it seems, so anything that is not realistic is gonna get a beating from them. But if it's on PS2, then they will go how stylish it looks. Like how most people I know bashed Killer 7's graphics but were intruiged by the style, and said it would be tons better on PS2.
