Topic: GC BBA - different models for different regions? Buy one at EB, buy one at Lik-Sang == different BBA's?

Hi all, I'm looking at picking up a BBA for smoother PSO play and was curious as to if there are different models of the BBA for different countries.  I see that Lik-Sang sells them but I can pick them up at Future Shop as well.  I'm checking out an imported one locally that's a little cheaper than the FS price and was wondering if there are differences in models?

The reason I ask is because in my DC days I got totally hosed when I picked up the "LAN Adapter" from overseas instead of the "BBA".  They had different model numbers (although I didn't know at the time so I took the "HIT-"  - DC'rs will know what I mean ) so I couldn't play PSO on my DC over my cable connect.  Neither could I get my linux boot-disc to find the ethernet connection (which is the whole reason I picked up my DC anyway!!  webserver!! )  Booo...

if someone could  calm my frayed nerves and let me know if the ones boxed in the asian packages are any different from the ones you buy at the local FS/EB/whatever.

well i know they are compatible but has anyone actually seen the one that lik-sang sells and the one you buy in the US?  are they identical besides serial numbers or is there a model number on them?

hopefully someone here's seen both and compared them.
