QuoteGuru, your close but a bit off. Not all xbox's have 10GB of memory. Only the Seagates have 10GB, all of the rest have 8GB. but either way every xbox console out there only has 8GB, unless you reformat your HDD and get the extra 2 gigs. And even then it would do you any good seeing as how there are 7 partitions to the xbox. C:\ D:\ E:\ F:\ X:\ Y:\ Z:\ The partition that it stores your Audio rips and save games on is the E:\ partition. Which only has a little more than 5GB, like you said. The C:\ partition is for system files, maybe about 500MB. The F:\ partition is unused (this is where your extra 2 gigs are, but only if you have the 10GB HDD) but what good will it do you if you do reformat and get the extra 2 gigs, the Xbox wont use it? The D:\ partition is basicly your DVD-ROM drive. And the X,Y, and Z:\ partitions are used for game cache files (so games load faster the second time you start them up) Each of these partitons contain about 800MB. So all in all you have about 8GB on your HDD, and only a bit more than 5GB for save games and audio rips. But to answer your question, each Xbox HDD has about 300,000 to 350,000 blocks to use for your save games and Audio CD's
