To anyone who has Mario Kart DD, you need to get warppipe.  I have played a few games now, some which played fairly well.  But the best way to get better games, is to have more users.  Granted, the beta version is still rather primative, but 1.0 is going to be released soon.  Many people are claiming close to full speed games.  If you havent already, go and check out warppipes website.  With more and more LAN games coming out, this program is going to help fullfill our desire for online games.

I've played with someone on the same cable provider as myself that is only 35 miles away..and it was slower than hell...its gonna have to get better than that before I'm doing it a lot.  I think thats proof right there that nintendo could very well be right in their stance.

Many people are getting good games, with the main factor being ping.  In the end, its still tunneling, which has more limitations than online networks.  The more people that are connected, the better it will be.  Besides, we are using the beta version, 1.0 should serve up some significant improvements.

Call me ignorant, but that logic makes no sense to me.  Because its tunnling the number of people has nothing to do with it.  Its not like nintendo could really come up with any better packet transfer plan than the warp pipe guys did.  Do you really want to sacrifice things like the great draw disntances and interactive environments in Mario Kart just so you can play against total strangers shouting leet sayings at you?  =P  I'm not really flaming ya here, just being silly...

You misunderstood what i mean.  The more users on WP, the more people you will be able to make a good connection with.  I live in Ohio, if there are hundreds of people in my area that use WP, then I would have alot of people who I could potentially play a good game with.  Right now there are only a handful of people close to me using WP, hopefully that will change.

Last time I checked netcode and graphics were independant of each other. Maybe MK only draws one frame per received packet? Considering it's designed for LAN that'd make sense due to the high connection speed.
