I mean one format like how DVD players work. The idea being that there's one universal standard gaming machine that any company can manufacturer and every console game made is playable on it. I assume PC games would still exist though since that's a different market. This idea of course would only happen after consoles reach a stage where there's virtually no need to upgrade the hardware every couple of years and it's possible to have the same hardware in both portable and home console format.

Ian, Iridion II isn't that good, all it has going for it are the graphics. I grabbed it when a store here was throwing out a bunch (40 or so) of copies for a tenner each, was dissappointed.
