Star Wars: Rebel Strike - Tips and Codes
« on: October 21, 2003, 01:54:18 PM »
I've decided to start this thread because I've beaten most of the single player levels of Rebel Strike.  If anyone needs help with this game, post your question and you should get an answer soon.

To start things off, I'd like to know if anyone has found any passcodes for this game.  Also, I'm stuck on the Wedge level where you get to fly the TIE Hunter.  It starts off with you defending a transport until it crashes into a shield generator housing, then you have to destroy the shield generator, then you have a limited amount of time to destroy 3 cloaking devices on the Super Star Destroyer Executor.  I'm stuck at that last part, I'm always either killed or I run out of time.  If anyone can let me know the best path to take, I'd appreciate it.  Thanks for the help.

I too am having difficulties on this level, but here's what NOT to do. Don't stay as the Tie Hunter, it just screws up your perception, when the door is open, shoot a couple of missiles into it, then switch to your A-wing and take it out, use the A-wing in cockpit view and stay low. You can fly underneath most of the steel structures. The shields can be found on the LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT. I managed to get to the last cloaking sheild and took out the turrets surrounding the sheild, that is a big no no. You can do it with the first two but don't do it to the last. I am going to see what happens when I get there again (my saves have become corrupt and I have to do everything all over again UNGH!!!) anyways, I also found 3 tech upgrades so far.

First one I found was on Extarcation from Ralltire, it is tucked away on the right in a crevis once you take out an AT-ST and probe droid.
2nd one was the speeder bikes, your first left
and lastly the third I found was on Geonosis in a crashed pod.
Can't remeber what they are but 2 of them are for the Y-wing. Anyways, hope what little info I had for you helps.

Ok, just unlocked 3 ships, not going to sound as glorious as you think.....but here goes.

Tattooine Training, complete everything, unlock 3 ships are you ready for this? T-16 Skyhopper, land speeder and swoop bike. Uhmmm, correct me if I am wrong, but dont you use these things DURING TRAINING?!?!?!? However, considering RL, I will do this board 2 more times to see if it's any different, and NO it's not hard at all, I had 15 mins left

oops, used the wrong tags at first, hopefully fixed now

Actually, you can do it faster with the Tie Hunter I believe, but the A-Wing has more shields.  Just be sure you stay really low.

Thanks for the help.  I have to agree with Bloodworth, both times I've done the mission (once to finish it, then again to get a medal) I used the TIE Hunter exclusively.  The key for the generator (I found) was to fire about three missiles at it, then just fly in and shoot like crazy.  This worked both times.  The LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT pattern works like a charm though.

If anyone has found any codes for the game, please post them in here - I am a college student so I don't have enough time between classes to get golds in all the levels (or even just unlock everything), so some passcodes would be a big help towards fully experiencing this game.  Anyone wondering should take note - the passcodes from Rogue Leader will not unlock anything at all (I tried), so if you were planning on using those codes to get through the co-op campaign quicker that puts an unfortunate stop to those plans. I need codes to unlock Flight From Bespin, Endurance, all the vehicles, and all the upgrades.  Also, I read in Game Informer# 127 that not only are Star Wars Arcade and The Empire Strikes Back Arcade unlockable, but so is Return of the Jedi Arcade.  Is there any merit to this statement, or was Game Informer mistaken.  And if it is true, how is Return of the Jedi Arcade unlocked?  Well, that's all I have to say for now.

Nope The Naboo Starfigher is easiest, cause it's fast I have all 19 Golds, going for Ace. Here is what you need to do to get it Complete Tattoonie Training at all 4 times of day 6am 12pm 6pm 12pm, Slave-1, all bronze on normal missions, Jedi Starfighter, all silver on normal missions, Tie Bomber meet silver requirements, blow up turrets within half a sec of each other, you will be told "great job" and if done correctly, you will here "may the force be with you" Falcon, bronze on all missions including bonus.

I've deleted this section grudgingly because I know people would like to have the tech upgrade locations, but you can't just cut and paste from GameFAQs without written permission.  Rewrite everything yourself and provide better descriptions or something. -Bloodworth

As for the first encounter with the SSD, take the Naboo Starfighter, tell your wingmen to take a hike, use your missiles 3 times on the ties, destroy the sheid generator with your lasers, make sure you are lined up and by the time you get in the housing it will be destroyed. Next part, again, tell your wingman to bugger off, don't slow down, take shots that you know are going to connect, upon arrival of first cloaking device, launch missle, use lasers, go to your left, repeat until you are at the 3rd one, but never slow down. Igonre my left left right, stay left and low, it's a little more eaiser. Almost had best on this level, was off by 3 secs for time

Bloodworth. I did not copy and paste from Game faqs, I don't even go there, I found those on my own. I give props where ever I get my info. I worked hard and long to find those upgrades and typed them out. But if you think I copy and pasted from Game faqs, then oh well. Sorry you feel that way.

Sorry, they appeared to be worded and formatted almost exactly the same as on their boards, and since I've been using them for the tech upgrades, it caught my attention.  Go ahead and re-post if you still have them available somewhere.  And when you do it, for convenience sake, keep the level visible and only spoiler mark the item and location.

My apologies.

Well I went to game faqs, and maybe some are similar but some of that guys descriptions are like Boomhower decribing where to find stuff

Anyways, I was just going to forget about this board after this and asked to be removed because I worked hard to find those, but it's water under the bridge now so once again, tech upgrades.

REVENGE OF THE EMPIRE Advanced shields
Fly inside 4th transport

DEFIANCE ON DANTOOINE Advanced lasers
On your second boost jump, on the right path, hug the left hand side of the path

DEFENDERS OF RALLTIIR Advanced targeting computer
Cross the bridge on your left and blow up the transport

EXTRACTION FROM RALLTIIR Homing proton torpedo
On the right after the first turn in a crevis

BATTLEFIELD HOTH Advanced cluster missiles
Inside the transport on the right when you are taking out the AT-ST's

RAID AT BAKURA advanced proton bomb
Meet the silver requirement to get TIE Bomber part, then bomb the very last dome

RELICS AT GEONOSIS advanced proton torpedo
Inside the second last escape pod

DECEPTION AT DESTRILLION spread proton bomb
Fly inside the super-laser bowl

GUNS OF DUBRILLION advanced concussion missile
Up the ramp and to the left

SPEEDER BIKE PURSUIT homing missile
Your very first major left (since you are going stright the whole time)

TRIUMPH OF THE REBELLION homing cluster missile
This one is well hidden, the first set of catapults you come across there will be an opening on the right, just enough room for the AT-ST to get in to.

Just thought I'd bump this topic.  Oh, I'm still looking for any codes anyone has managed to deduce - I have unlocked all the levels and found all the upgrades for the single player mode, but I would appreciate it if anyone had codes to unlock the TIE Hunter, the Jedi Starfighter, the TIE Bomber, and the Naboo Starfighter.  I already know how they are unlocked, I'm just not sure if I'm going to continue playing the same levels over and over again, it's getting to be more monotonous than fun.  Oh, I'd also appreciate any codes anyone has found for unlocking co-op play vehicles, levels, and upgrades as I do not have enough opportunity to enjoy these modes to the extent where I could earn all these things through my own skill.  Thanks to anyone who can provide anything at all (I've heard code info is hidden somewhere in the commercial and at the end of the credits, but I have yet to find anything that works).

As for strategy: if anyone is having trouble with the Rebel Endurance level, make good use of your L-targeting and jump regularly (you apparently can't be shot in the air, and if you are good with the jump feature you can take out entire waves with minimal damage) - easily managed to survive long enough to get the silver medal, and gold would have been no problem if I didn't get bored (maybe later).

Well the only thing I can think of at the end is BE SMART BE VICTORIOUS, and I don't hink that second part is going to fit as a code.

The ship codes proabably wont start to surface for at least another month. They ususaly release the not so useful codes first.

My stats as of the 1st week, 19 Gold and 10 Ace.

I can't speak for mutiplayer, but if it's like the origianl RL, then (if mem serves me correctly) 12 Bronze for Slave 1 (10 in RS) N! Complete training 4 times of day 6am 12pm 6pm 12am (ditto with RS and alot easier) 10 Silver for Jedistarfighter, 19 Gold for Tie Hunter. The Tie bomber you have to work for, and same with the Tie fighter (RL) 15 Gold for the Tie advanced (RL) Not sure if the previous codes work for RL or not, can't try it yet until the new addition arrives.

Been talking to a few friends of mine who have RS they seemed a litle confused about where the Homing cluster missiles are on Triumph of the Rebllion, so a better description

follow radar to first set of catapults

stand behind catapult on the right

turn until your radar is facing 4 o'clock

you should be facing it directly, you can't miss it

That is about as much as I can descibe it whithout physicaly showing you how to get it

Hi.  I found some codes for Rebel Strike, so I thought I'd share them with anyone who happens on this thread and cares to try them out.  I haven't tried them yet myself, I've been busy actually unlocking everything the "hard" way - that is, getting the medals on each level, which isn't that hard (I've gotten gold medals while going for silver, and Rebel Endurance is a piece of cake).  I think I might just start a new file just to test them out, I'll let you know what I find out.  Just a note to the moderators of this forum: this information will be written as much in my own words as I can possibly manage.  Without further ado, here they are:

LOOKMOM! - unlock the credits (mostly useless, this game is not very difficult to beat)
THEDUDES - unlock the documentary (mostly useless, this game is not very difficult to beat)
FREEPLAY - I found this listed as an unknown on some sites, while others said it gives you unlimited continues in the Empire Strikes Back Arcade game
WIMPIAM! - decreases the difficultly level, medals are easier to obtain (this is probably the most useless code thus far)
WHATTHE? - increases the difficulty level (basically it increases enemy A.I., worth it if you want a challenge, although I can't guarantee it will be as tough as Rogue Leader)
FARMBOY? - I couldn't find anything so far on what exactly this code does, I'll let you know if I find out anything
YOUDAMAN - I couldn't find anything so far on what exactly this code does, I'll let you know if I find out anything

Hey.  This morning when I started playing Rebel Strike, I noticed an interesting glitch, and I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out.  The Co-Operative and Versus multiplayer options in my game are greyed out, and I can't access them at all.  The game also froze last night, on the Tatooine Training level, I don't know if those two things have anything to do with one another.  I have not used Action Replay at all, and I have tried using different controllers but that didn't work.  Hopefully my save is not corrupted, I will not be playing this game again if that is the case.  Any help or advice you can give me is greatly appreciated.
