Oh god, most people enjoyed ff7, that means it was bad.  Ok, for the last friggin time, games are not just artistic but they are...get this...fun.  People need to just shut their stupid mouths.  If someone had fun with it, good for them.  It is so idiotic to get angry over someone having fun.  Just kick your gamecube and give it to a friend if that sort of thing makes you mad, because you shouldn't be playing.

Wow thats a hard choice. There are so many good ones to choose from. I mean Final Fantasy 3 was excellent. It was the first Final Fantasy game to feature the jobs system. When I first played Final Fantasy 5, I felt it was an upgrade to Final Fantasy 3. So Final Fantasy 3 is definately my favorite NES Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy 1 was cool because it was a lot deeper than Dragon Warrior but no 8 bit RPG can touch Phantasy Star 1, hell most 16-bit RPGs cant but thats another post.

I know  most people love Final Fantasy 6 the best. I like game a lot but I always preferred Final Fantasy 4. It wasn't as pretty as Final Fantasy 6, it was more linear, simpler, but the there was something about the characters. Cecil, Kain, Golbeze, Rosa, Rydia, Yang, Edge, etc. Final Fantasy 4 is definately my favorite Final Fantasy on SNES. I guess its my favorite Final Fantasy of all time. I loved the story, the characters, the gameplay, the only downside was the linear story but it was a great story so it was forgiveable. A sequel to FF4, that explained what happened to Golbeze, Fu Soy Ya, and the rest of the Lunarians would be great but it won't happen. Final Fantasy 5 was good, and very difficult but it was so much like Final Fantasy 3. As for why I prefer Final Fantasy 4 to Final Fantasy 6? Honestly I think Final Fantasy 6 is the better game up until the World of Ruin. The game seemed to lose its magic after that point. Outside of few bright spots like Shadow and Cyan's past....it just was fun anymore. I found myself starting my quest over after the World of Balance ended after I beat Final Fantasy 6 a few times.

As far as the 32 bit era goes. Final Fantasy went into the toilet IMO. Final Fantasy 7 was terrible in every way IMO and made me look on Mystic Quest look good. Final Fantasy 8 was worse it was the only Final Fantasy game that I couldnt make myself complete. The plot line was more nonsensical that Final Fantasy 7 which didn't even seem plausible to me at time. At least the card mini-game was fun. Final Fantasy 9 was an okay game. I thought it was better than it was but looking back I realize that Final Fantasy 9 seemed to good to me because 7 and 8 were terrible. The only thing I do like about this era is because Sony actually advertised them, they sold well enough to cause other companies to bring there RPGs to the US.
