When I saw people posting the vid earlier today I jumped on it...only to find out it's the same trailer shown at E3!  I cried

But then I realized that the footage was so great that it just didn't matter

lol @ SUPER.  Bill, it's not the same.  It really isn't.  Watch it some more... it's got some new stuff.  Not much, as I said, but it's there.

Hehe, I can see it now...
--------------------------------
Gamer: Yay!  Resident Evil 4 using floppies!

*sticks in disc*

Gamer: Alright, through the first door...

Please insert floppy disc 2

Gamer: Um, ok

*Game continues*

Gamer: A zombie!

Please insert floppy disc 3

Gamer: ...

and so on and so on

-------------------------------------

And Grey, I guarantee you that it is the same video clip...It may look different because it is at a LOT better resolution than the E3 version. (edit: You know what?  Looking on my old PC with my E3 files, there were two different vids shown.  One was a shorter version of the longer one...You must have gotten the shorter one)

(Might as well add one neat thing...Watch the clip...See the only zombie in the clip?  Rewind, and pause right as it the scene shows up.  The zombie MATERIALIZES OUT OF NOWHERE!  RE has taken a turn for the paranormal, and I like it! )

Yeah i noticed that too.  That could be a really cool aspect to the game. Instead of zombies being around corners and coming through glass/doors, etc they will just suddenly appear near you! what would be cool is if there were super zombies that could like punch through walls to try to talk to you!

I DO wonder about the cost though. SURELY this game won't go over the 50 dollar price point. I mean the other two RE games didn't sell that great, and an inflated price, three disks or not, is going to scare away casual gamers...

Aw who cares? Just so long as it makes me urinate my trousers!

3 Discs eh?
I'm excited even more now, haven't seen the new trailer yet though. IGN says they have yet to release it, but the screenies they have are freakishly cool. I'm getting this for sure, no matter how scared i'll get.

Hell YES i saw that trailer!

MY FROTHING DEMAND FOR THIS GAME HAS REACHED UNCONTROLABLE LEVELS *head explodes*

Still 200X huh? So it might not even come out until 2005... Oh well, whatever is best for the product. This could be the best game ever made... and its exclusive to Nintendo GameCube

Honestly, 3 disks, this game is going to be awesome.

Devil May Cry was a very good game. It was origionally going to be RE4, but it was not considered worthy enough to be the next RE. Now just imagine how good this game is going to be!

It wasn't that Devil May Cry wasn't "worthy" of being a Resident Evil game (personally, I preferred it to REbirth), it's that the creators thought that it was too much of a departure from the Residen Evil style (which it was). Hence, they changed the game into Devil May Cry and began working on the (real) Resident Evil 4.

There's also the fact that DMC wasn't scary at all...Think about it...A non-scary RE game is useless

I wasn't interested in this game AT ALL until now.  6000 floppy disks is just HUGE.

I am also a wimp.  Eternal Darkness hasn't really scared THAT MUCH yet (except the bathtub part).  But METROID PRIME is the scariest game EVAR!

I'm going to have to do some reasearch on RE4, it looks pretty cool.

Where do people get the idea that RE has not sold that well on Cube?  RE0 sold almost 750k in its first month, and is well over a million copies world wide.  RE is also a million seller, it sold about 500k in the first month.  Besides, they were really setting up the foundation for RE4.  Resident Evil on Cube has done alot to lose the old image, Cube is for everyone, and its library really shows.  Its not as strong in the M rated section as X-box and PS2, but it has a very braod appeal.  RE4 looks crazy, Capcom is really pushing the Cube.  From the looks of it, the visuals will be on par with REmake and RE0, but all in realtime.  No more static backgrounds.  Three disk?  I wouldnt be suprised to see that come down to two disk.  Even if there are alot of cut scenes, they can compress it with DIVX.  Hopefully we will have this for the next holliday season.

"On par", mjbd? No, no, no- RE4, at least in my opinion, looks a LOT better than either REbirth or RE0, AND it's all in real time. Capcom's really showing their true technical colors when it comes to the Gamecube.

Which reminds me, does anyone have a link to somewhere I could download the latest RE4 trailer? Thanks.

I publically declare my support for this idea.

But please, no Leon, or Tyrants, zombies, dogs, etc.  I'm not interested in Tyrant's enhanced bio-organic finger weapon.

C'mon people.  3 Cube discs is only 4.5 gigabytes.  Most PS2 and Box games are that size.  Some (like Xenosaga) are 8 gigabytes.  Having a modern game take up 4.5 gigabytes of space is no big deal.

Nah.  You'd only need 3000.  How about a PS1 port?  It only needs 6 CDs.  ;-)
