plugging my cube to my speakers
« on: September 05, 2003, 01:52:34 AM »
I'm new to the gamecube but i've got a set of speakers and a subwoofer(altec lansing)that work with the cube(so the website says)....How do i attach the RCA leads to the cube though? There's no sockets for them.
Do i need an attachment that plugs into the digital AV socket which would have RCA slots at the other end?
I have the Nintendo RGB official scart in the analog av out socket so i'm not sure how i connect the cube to the speakers.

I searched online for some cube sound cables but could only find the composite ones(stereo AV)which are video and sound, they are also for the analog socket(where my RGB scart is).......How do i attach the speakers? I'm baffled here.

Thanks for any help.

I know that brand, they're the same guys who tell you that their speakers work with consoles and then once you open it up and look at the instructions they tell you that you'll need a special piece that you have to buy from them in order to use it.  I saw that and sold the set to my brother and bought another set with a line-in jack on the back so I can use one of those small stereo adapters that let you put the red and white cables into it and plug it into the line-in.

if i'm reading this right..

you have RCA on the ends of ur altec lansing.  Easiest way is to get an Audio Receiver or Amp and plug the RCAs into there and plug ur gamecube into the Audio Receiver.

Otherwise... if ur speakers got 2 RCAs (1 white, 1 red) , then simply go to your nearest radio shack and buy those male to male (or female to female - i forgot which one is male/female ) connectors and stick them between the cables of ur GC and ur speaker.
