Aonuma Confirms Wind Waker Sequel

I am not saying at ALL to change the battle system of Zelda or give Link a gun. Here is simply why majora's mask did not do well as ocarina of time... no adult Link (don't count in the firce desty's mask) think about it! Why do you think that most of the people who are buying Soul Calibor 2 are going for the GameCube version? Hmmmm... I have even seen that in polls that more people prefer Adult Link over the toon Link. I, for one, love the new Zelda game for the GameCube, but I feel that if Nintendo wants Zelda to reach the same amount of success as Ocarina of Time did, then they should simply make a Zelda series with graphical Link in it. But this dosn't mean that I think that they should throw cell shaded out the window, I think that they should still make installments of the cell-shaded Zelda, then they sould make a realistic game. I also don't think that they should also change the entire consept of Zelda to be"new", here is a good example of something new. I heard over the internet that how with the C-Stick the player could control Link's arm to preform certain attacks. That is something that I wanted when I suggested something new. What do you think?

I have no problem with adult Link, but I think that the concept of Link being young is important. Even when he was 'adult' in OoT, he was still only 16-17 at the most. I would like to see a system in the next game where every time a trigger (e.g. when a dungeon is completed or a new item is obtained) is set off, Link's sprite changes very slightly to look more like an adult. It would have to be implemented so it isn't obvious every time it changes, but players will still slowly notice Link 'growing up' as they progress through the game.

The C-Stick is a brilliant idea, simple and innovative, although I would miss the freedom of camera movement that the current system allows, maybe it would be best if it was used only when locked on to a target for combat? I do believe that something original will be added to the new Zelda though, because with every previous (Nintendo developed) Zelda game, something new that is important to the core gameplay has been added. Side scrolling for the second Zelda (I forget what its called), Darkside/Lightside for ALttP, Z-targeting and Ocarina playing with OoT, three-day aspect with MM and sailing with WW.
Om mani padme hum.

I think the Wind Waker ending was great.
And it was cool that you faught ganon himself
and not some kind of big weirdo at the end of
game.

Talking about taking the Zelda series
to a higher level, I think the most important stuff
is to implement something new, like a war or
something. A giant batlle, Good vs Evil at the
end of the game. That would really satisfy me.

I thought the three day thing in Majoras Mask
didn't work so well because a stress factor was
added. I liked to explore in OoT and i felt
that i hadn't enough time to explore the world of MM.

I happen to love the cel shaded look.  I am still also interested in what they could do with an Oot style Zelda on the present hardware.
