Cheaper Games
« on: August 09, 2003, 07:18:21 AM »
It recently cam to my attention that Harvest Moon GCN is priced at $39. Then I remembered that MGS:TS is also $39. Is Nintendo pushing lower prices on 3rd party exclusives to boost sales? I can't think of another reason. I mean, they're already great games and with $10 off the typical new game price, they're are great buys. Has anyone else noticed any other titles coming to us for less?

Oh yes, and Burnout 2 was priced @ 40 bucks also.  I like cheap(er) games!  And Sonic Mega Collection if i remember correctly, although i think that one is GC exclusive.

Harvest Moon is really only $39 USD? I may get it because Mega Man was $39 USD and they put it $49 CND I hope that follows $49 CND is cheap!

I wonder if it's the third parties take a lead with this, because Nintendo's own first party titles are still in the $49.95 range...

Yeah, as far as I know it's only third party exclusives and Burnout. When I found out about HM I immediately checked Mario Kart to see if Nintendo had dropped all its prices on new games (which would be as sweet as those mouthwatering monkeys...). I was disappointed to see that it was not so. However, MGS and HM will probably sell better than if they were priced at $50. And that rewards program is supposed to kick in this fall I think. I do believe that Ninendo just Shine Got.

Drat you Nickerson. You figured me out. Get Fuzzy is the best. I like Satchel personally. And I'm still not over Lowe Tech. Ingenious.
