...um...Hurray Capcom 4? Sorry, just trying to find a bright side. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it won't become Kid Icarus. They tell us Dead Phoenix is dead (and it is) and it will be reborn as Kid Icarus. SURPRISE!

Um, where does it say that DP isn't being transformed into a KI game?  

1) Capcom wants to do a Ninty-produced game
2) DP mysteriously disappears BEFORE E3, yet was only said to be cancelled recently.

I will follow my intuition and wait for my KI game.

I ,for one, hope dead pheonix does not become KI.  I do not want a 3D on 'rails' shooter. (which if memory serves, was DP) I would like to see Denis and the guys over at Silicon KNights make the new KI.  In 2.5D.  

I am a little pissed that Futurama is canceled, however.

I believe DP was a free-flying shooter(ala Starfox 64 boss battles), and not a rails shooter.

Im actually more disapointed that Capcoms fighting all stars was cancelled than Dead Phoenix. I mean how long has it since Capcom released a new fighting game

anyways, Just because Dead Pheonix has been cancelled doesnt mean that the graphics engine cant be reused. Its all up to Nintendo really.... I would like to see a new Kid Icarus, but i mean, how long has it since we fans have been asking for stuff like a new KI, or Punch Out or Star Tropics?

Eh.  This is pretty disappointing, as Dead Pheonix was the only of the 5 that I was ever really interested in.  Maybe they could make it Kid Icarus, but I'd much prefer an original game.  I mean, looked what happened to Dinosaur Planet... that was another game I was interested in.  I no longer cared for it after it was sapped of its creativity and forced into conformism...
