Originally promised for this Friday in Europe, it appears the Shovel Knight amiibo is being delayed slightly.

Reports from customers who preordered the amiibo from Nintendo's online store or high street retailer GAME are both reporting a one-week delay in dispatch of the Yacht Club-designed figure from 11 December to 18 December.

As some European retailers - most notably in the Netherlands - have the amiibo in stock already and sold it, it isn't clear what the reason for the delay is. The North American release date has not been affected, and at last report is still slated for January 8.
