http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/12/microsoft_gets_cute_about_possible_rare_replay_release_on_wii_uSo Microsoft Game Studios' twitter account got too cute with people clamoring for Rare Replay to get a Nintendo release. So much so that they had to issue a retraction that's currently pinned as their top tweet.
Now, I know this will never, ever, ever, ever happen but it still got me thinking about what Nintendo could offer in terms of a possible trade. Instead of port begging, let's ask for a trade!(with IP we don't own, but hey, it's an internet forum) What would be fair value?
I'm thinking Nintendo gets together with Platinum and they go to Microsoft and say "hey, here's Bayonetta 2 on your system. You get this exclusive game over PS4. In exchange, you can release Rare Replay with the DKC trilogy, DK64, Diddy Kong Racing and Starfox Adventures. You can even sell it for $50-$60."
I mean, Microsoft has to at least think about it, right? There has to be minimum one shady, closed door meeting if that offer gets made, right? There would be some development issues to get around, but that could be solved with cash consideration being thrown each others' way. Should I go back to my morning coffee and forget this demented idea crossed my mind?
EDIT: My trade specifics:
Microsoft gets: Bayonetta 2 plus the optimised version of Bayonetta 1 (sans Nintendo costumes)
Nintendo gets: Rare Replay Wii U Edition (with DKC trilogy, DK64, Diddy Kong Racing and StarFox Adventures replacing the Microsoft exclusive titles).
