If you've always dreamed of Luffy wearing a Mario costume, now you can actually see it.

Amiibo Support is coming via a software update to One Piece Super Grand Battle X for Nintendo 3DS in Japan. Once Amiibo are scanned, the characters in the game will don costumes of the corresponding Nintendo characters. For example, if you scan a Mario Amiibo on Luffy, he will appear in the game wearing Mario’s iconic overalls and mustache.

Released on November 13 on 3DS, One Piece Super Grand Battle X is a 2D fighter with tons of playable and support characters from the One Piece series. Up to four players compete in the mayhem online or locally. The game currently has no release date outside of Japan.
