Fatty the Hutt (Villager) - Killed By Vote.

Yes, once again, it is a 1 death day despite my efforts to speed things up. But oh no! You have to kill off the player that won the hit. Meanwhile, the mafia's have decided they don't need to make a hit since you guys are getting real good at voting out a villager every day. There's nothing from Phineas, there's nothing from Blanca, all roles that are in here to increase player elimination and keep the game moving fast. Instead, we are looking at a potential 3 week game and I'm starting to be too busy to host this game. I can only hope that my inactivity rule will allow me the opportunity needed to bring this player count down. At least there was more participation again.

Today is a Fox hit day. Yeah, let's keep the deadline at midnight EST. I don't need sleep anyways.

Your Animal Crossing Comic of the day is:

BREAKING NEWS!!!

K.K. Slider Injured During Advertisement Shoot!!!

While working on a commercial to promote his K.K. Cola brand, a spotlight overheated and popped. The sparks caused K.K.'s fur to catch on fire and he has been rushed to hospital to help treat the wounds. Warning: The following picture of the accident may be disturbing to some viewers.

While we pray for a speedy recovery, let us remember the joy K.K. has been able to bring millions by taking a moment to listen to one of his many great songs. We here at K.K. Cola think it would be a great idea if you bought some and drank it while listening to this song K.K. Crusin', as a way to show to K.K. that his hard work and sacrifice were not in vain.

Today's event is the bug-off.

And since you made things difficult by eliminating the winner, I am going to offer the grand daddy of all prizes today. The player who can correctly choose the bug I have in mind will get a free hit of their choice, a free investigation of their choice, an extra vote of their choice for today's vote and be automatically immune from any night actions that occur tonight. The only challenge is to survive the vote. But then, I think this prize package will allow that to happen.

If you need a list of the bugs you can choose from, here it is.

I voted against Fatty because he blatantly went after Dan, who I chose to trust due to him breaking the tie on day 6 and ensuring a mafia player went down.

Really, I feel Nickmitch and Dan are the players to trust right now.

I want to see who pops into the thread because of the inactivity purge but will place a precursory vote for Caterkiller since I trust you.

Now I jumped on Nickmitch yesterday cause of his statements. Though after reading a bit further back it was clear he's on the up and up. I only jumped on Fatty for attacking me. I never did nothin to no body! If it was up to me I'd move out of this God forsaken town and let the devils take over.

Well that went terribly! I really don't know how to vote today. Should we trust in the dying words of Fatty and vote Caterkiller? I don't know. I'll think it over while I try to catch this diving beetle.

What's this? A Diving Beetle and Banded Dragonfly? Oooh, these bugs are quite the delicacy, I mean, delicate creatures. Well, I will just take and store them in my tent for future.... study. Yes, yes. Quite nice. But..

Smashing! More bugs for me to inspect.

Let's see a common butterfly. Well, ok. Not sure you were really trying there. But I'll store it away still because.... I'm sure there's still more to learn..... about that creature.

Whoa! A goliath beetle?! This thing is a treasure. Why it's size and weight would make a hearty meal, er, I mean, umm, hmmmm, lost my train of thought. Yes, I will make sure to take care of this beauty. Unfortunately, this only puts you in second place. Khushrenada is still in the lead with his first place beauty.

And.... a stinkbug. Well, it smells worse than it tastes, or that is to say, looks. However, it does require a lot more extra handling and care to make sure it doesn't misfire. Sometimes, I'm not sure it is worth the effort. But, I still appreciate your effort to participate and hope that others may yet follow in your fearless ways. Quite right.

Hmm, some of you are submitting multiple entries. I didn't catch it at first but I'm on to you now. While I am grateful for the extra supply of bugs, you only get 1 chance to win the grand prize. And for the record, none of the other multiple guesses are right either. There's an extra hint to those who haven't participated yet.

Oh, I can't wait for this day to end so that I can.... examine my findings more closely. Yes. Quite so.

Stratos - 1

None of you young entomologists could catch the special bug I was looking for. The Emperor Butterfly. Apdude was closest with his guess of the Monarch Butterfly. He recognized my theme of ruler animals.

Well, with the Bug Off concluded, I shall now go into my tent for an evening of research. Let me zip it up so I am not disturbed. Ah, now to enjoy these savoury, er, I mean, savvy catches. Wait! Why am I still trying to cover it up? No one is around to realize I'm going to eat these little critters. I think I may be losing my mind. Ha ha ha.

Night actions due 30 minutes from this post.

Nat then proceeded to take off his clothes and blend in with the tent. He like to be nude and invisible as he snuck up on his helpless prey to eat them. I am the ghost bug catcher, he whispered to his prey, dancing to himself. He shot his tongue out and snagged a couple butterflies on it and swallowed them down. Didn't see me coming, he laughed to himself. All you little pretties are mine, ha ha ha. He took a couple pill bugs, threw them in the air and then caught them in his mouth swallowing them down. Down the hatch for you, he chortled at his bug-eating prowess. And then he saw the Goliath Beetle that had been caught. Ah, now that the appetizer round is over, it is time to get to the main course. He took the beetle and slowly starting glugging it down. Feeling so happy and giddy at this meal, he twirled and twirled around his tent.

But then he stumbled and his tail knocked over the stinkbug catch. A couple stinkbugs fell out and they immediately activated their defences, releasing their potent odour. The foul smell caused Nat to wrench back and start coughing but with the beetle still in his mouth, he sucked into his windpipe and began gagging and choking. Desperate for air, he scrambled around to find something he could use to perform the heimlich maneuver and dislodge the beetle. He started knocking over all manner of containers with the lids popping off and bugs spilling out everywhere.

He began searching for the tent flap to unzip and get help but his eyes were watering, it was dark in the tent and now bugs were swarming the air and he couldn't make out where it was. His mind went into a panic state. He starting thrashing at all the walls trying to get through the cloth to help. He knocked everything over and stumbled on all the debris. The inside of his tent was now overflowing with bug life. Then he made the worst mistake yet and hit his storage locker causing it to fall against the tent wall which it then ripped through and fell on the ground bursting open and releasing all manner of bug life Nat had caught over the years. The bugs all rushed out the tent to freedom. Nat stumbled behind getting through the opening but it was too late and he fell to the ground. With a last shudder, his body went ka-put as he lay there on the ground having unleashed an unholy bug terror on the town of Shangri-La.
