Apparently the frame rate has been fixed since E3. (though, it's still not perfect...) And Sonic Team added the ability to manipulate the camera with the C-Stick.

Game improvements include improved character models and textures,  geometry textures (not much), improved lighting...generally it looks as good as SA2B. Oh, and there are 12 unlockable GameGear Sonic titles. One word: w00t!

PAL regions get this game on the 27th. I can't wait. (even though I have it on the DC, which has a busted AV cable. Sigh.)

I am a pretty easygoing guy as far as graphics are concerned.  As long as the slowdown isn't affecting the gameplay, and the graphics are clear and you can see what's going on, I don't really care if there are hicups.

I am only speaking about the DEMO here... but here goes.

The camera controls are god-awful.  The camera rarely goes where you want it to automatically, and using the C Stick in a game that's supposed to be fast is just stupid.  It doesn't work at all.  I prefer using the default camera positions to controlling it myself, but the default positions suck.

The framerate is horrible.  It's worse underwater, or when any kind of effects are happening, but it frequently drops frames when nothing at all is happening out of the ordinary.  You can be running down a hill, and only every 5th frame or so is actually shown.  It's infuriating, but it hasn't gotten me killed yet.  It's simply frusterating.
Once I had, a little game
I liked to crawl back into my brain
I think you know the game I mean

Man, I wouldn't care if it was worse than the DC original in the frame rate department. The 12 GG games are the big selling point for me! MUST PLAY TAILS' ADVENTURE!

i have the game demo on the preview disc. it was somewhat dissapointing. i liked sonic adv. 2: battle but in this sonic game the control isnt too good.  also the sense of speed while running regularly just inst there. it looks like sonic is jogging. the levels are pretty cool though but the walls in the turns are too close together( it would be okay but the control. they dont make the controls sensitive enough or something. if i was gonna get the game though i would get it for the game gear games. wouldnt it be cool if u could download them onto ur gameboy? sonic chaos was my fav back then.

It's about the same. Apparently there are a few collision bugs on a couple of stages where you can fall through the ground, but that happened to me on the DC version sometimes too. *shrug*

I am awaiting some reviews. IGN.COM tore the game down big time, framerate and camerawork were the biggest issues.

As for framerate, well, I really dislike it in a speedy game like this. I got games with a few framerate issues, which I don't really actually mind, since they don't interfere, but for example I got F1 2002, and you just DON'T need framerate issues when you're driving fast, it annoyed the hell out of me, and I returned the game and got myself the Indiana Jones game, it also has some frame issues, not a lot, so rarely, but it don't mind, don't interfere and the game is fun.

As for the camera work, that's a bad thing, but on the other hand (but I haven't seen how bad it is), with games as Sonic, to me it's about learning levels, knowing where stuff is .... the first few times through I actually go through very slow (but I'm not that good at it yet anyway), after that you go for the challenge, but you try and try more to learn a level by heart, and even the stuff you can see, it's about being able what to do, even if you don't see it yet. With the 2D games of Sonic you couldn't look ahead and it was a speed game as well.

I haven't played this game, so I don't know how bad it is. I do know that companies these days sometimes bring games on the market they should have tested more, I don't care if I gotta wait another 6 months, the game needs to run well.

Basically it sounds like the same issues people had with the first Dreamcast version.
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.

yes but thats the point !! i never had any problems with the dreamcast version , thats why i hope the glitches or issues are not actully in fact WORSE in the gamecube version , either A) the same problems or issues or B) less.
