Topic: Headed to Japan ("The Motherland"). What to buy, visit, see?

First post from a long-time FanBoy. I'm headed to Japan for the second time this upcoming week for 10 days.  As a Nintendo/gaming fan, what should I be on the look out to buy, see, and do?  I may not get back down to Kyoto this time, so will spend most time in Tokyo.  And this may be my last time in JP for several years...

...ideas?  Very excited to go and do anything related to Nintendo and gaming.  BTW, I don't have anything Japanese import of date (no systems, games, etc.), but I know there are some Japanese games that never make it here.  Are there any must-buys?  Also: not a big amiibo fan, but I'd buy a Japanese character if it's rare or especially cool and un-gettable in the US.
