Enjoy Mario's latest papery adventure just in time for Christmas.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star will launch on December 7, 2012 in Europe, Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata announced during the new Nintendo Direct presentation.

This means the game will arrive on European store shelves less than a month after the North American release on November 11.

The announcement came with new gameplay footage that showed Mario collecting stickers throughout the world and using his collection to fight battles and solve puzzles. New information includes story details, which sees the standard fare of Bowser kidnapping Princess Peach, this time on the night of the Sticker Festival in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Furthermore, we previously learned that levels would be accessed from a traditional Super Mario Bros.-style world map, but there will also be a hub town known as Decalburg, where the player can purchase items at shops and talk to NPCs. From this hub, the player can access the regular stages using the world map.

I'll be the first to say that I am very pleased with how this game is turning out. Paper Mario as a series has had its fair share of ups and downs, but with Sticker Star looking more and more refined and awesome with each showing, I'm feeling pretty good about this one.
