An attempt to amass the largest crowd of video game cosplayers ever!

The Australian-based animation school Academy of Interactive Entertainment is organizing a cosplay event in the hopes of entering into the Guinness Book of World Records.

On May 5th 2012, The AiE aim to amass the world's largest crowd of video game fans, clad in the heroic garbs of their favourite game characters. The cosplay gathering is set to take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with the first 1000 arrivals receiving free showbags containing gaming magazines, anime sample DVDs by Madman Entertainment, discount coupons for local game stores and other goodies.

The current record to beat is 425 cosplayers, who gathered in Wisconsin, USA last year. For those interested in attending, check out the promotion website and check back here at NWR after the date for an inevitably crazy photo gallery.

It's always Europe, Japan, or Australia doing all the interesting events. What has the USA so uninterested in Video games? All I see anyone doing anymore is playing and talking about apps and puzzle games. I personally see a very annoying future with that premise :-\
If you shall force your righteous perspective upon others, which in turn requires an effort to understand, would you do the same? Or presumptuously reject theirs to begin with...?

..Which requires no effort on your part.

What else could you say in a complicated world..
